I'd only come to this place as a very last resort. I had many times when a appointment had been arranged and I've turned up to attend to then be told that the person that I was seeing has called in ill and the appointment has to be cancelled. I wouldnt mind this as a one off but it happened many times. My main concern has been my treatment in the past year. I was put on medication that requires medical checks, these checks have never been done. I was removed from a group therapy session which was understandable as my issues were causing a disturbance to the group environment, at this time I was told that I would be provided therapy in a different way, this never happened and I didn't have any more therapy. Not long after the person in charge of my care went off ill. I was left without care for 6 months. Unfortunately this person returned to work and didn't follow up my care. The only reason they got in contact was because my GP got in contact with them. They denied that my GP was the reason that they got in contact and that it was a coincidence that they got in contact a hour after my GP appointment. After this I had 2 more appointments with them. The first appointment was with the person in charge of my care and I explained how things have gone and how things have got better in some ways but some things I am still struggling. They suggested a appointment with a doctor to assess what steps should be taken next. They also explained that they were leaving there job in the next couple months. The next appointment was with the person in charge of my care and a doctor. I explained how things are going for me and asked what would be next and if there was any therapy that they would recommend. They suggested getting the person in charge of therapy in the room. This was in the last 15 minutes of my appointment. They came in and suggested for me to be discharged. I tried to explain that this wasn't the best decision but didn't get anywhere. Before I left I got told I would be sent a discharge letter that would have contact details on if I ever felt suicidal again and need to talk to someone and if I feel things start getting worse to contact my GP. I feel I was discharged due to the person in charge of my care leaving there job and them not having enough resources to continue my care and that it was easier. The discharge went against every they told me as I was assured that when I was discharge it would be a slow process and I would be told plenty of time in advanced. This didn't happen as I was discharged in the last 15 minutes of an appointment with no previous mention of it. About a week later I received my discharge letter, it said attached is my care plan that has the details of who I can contact if I start to struggle. Unfortunately they forgot to attach this, I've been left with no support and feel that there's no point in going back to my GP as they will only refer me back to here and they have no intention of supporting me.
