Review titled Removed from practice with no explantation, unjustly so.
by Selma Adam - Posted on 05 November 2024
I rarely post reviews unless I feel it is truly warranted. Myself and my daughter have been registered at this practice for 10 years now. I have tolerated their rude and unprofessional receptionist staff.as I know of stories from others that they to experience the same issues and I know of some worse cases so didn’t bother to change GP’s on this basis. I rarely use the services unless I absolutely need to. Since 2021 I have reached out on a few occasions for administrative purposes and for a referral again only because I had really required to do so. During the month of October I had been struggling physically and mentally because of ongoing health issues , I forwarded some clinic letters from previous consultants I had seen in the past privately before joining the practice and to seek help for my anxiety and chronic pain. I have struggled to obtain medication ( from the GP that I had been taking prior to joining the surgery 10 years ago as a lot of medical records had been ‘lost’ upon transferral ) and referrals due to how the NHS has deteriorated and many of my referrals were triaged or rejected . I expressed my thoughts in this with the Dr Morris. There was this lack of empathy to my situation but so couldn’t complain as the referrals were made after some struggle and two medications were eventually prescribed again with some struggle. After my last appointment via telephone consultation and a few email exchanges and sending a very personal letter to the GP Dr Morris explaining how my situation has been very dire of late , I had been responding to emails from the GP back and fourth . I was then emailed very abruptly requesting that I cease emailing the GP whom I needed to respond to as it required so and to keep my appointments ?!! We had been communicating via email and thought it inappropriate if I didn’t respond, I find going to surgery very stressful and it exasperates my anxiety significantly especially having to pause with the reception staff whom ( the majority ) behave rather unpleasant and unprofessional. lIt is easier when appointments are scarce and when ones anxiety is unmanageable to take a telephone consultation even those are two weeks ahead( no complaints on my end) . Anyhow to cut a very long story short- yesterday morning I was advised that I have been removed from the surgery myself and my daughter including my mother who is dumbfounded by their baseless reaction - all of us have done nothing to illicit such extreme measures . My mother has complex health issues, and this has been beyond difficult for her. We received these staggered emails yesterday for no apparent reason- reasoning was that we were out of catchment! Suddenly after 10 years! We had moved in 2020 and our address was updated but they accept patients out of catchment and when you are a registered patient for all this time it is bizarre that they have the power to do this. I have sent emails requesting they explain their actions and have left messages for the ‘secretaries’ and asked to speak with the practice manager where I was told to email and indeed I did- I was emailed back the same script that we are out of catchment . I simply want to know why after all these years we are being treated in such a manner ? Whilst I believe we live in a cancel culture and we are at the mercy of the government I would like to know why you have targeted us and taken such action after all these years ? I have done my own research and indeed you accept patients from outside the catchment furthermore we are 0.8 miles ( I had someone call the practice to check if we were in catchment and she was told that she could ) the response was again bizarre and has no grounds to pick and choose in such a way,my elderly mother relies on the service as she has very complex health needs whom is already is going through a turbulent time health wise . This experience and the manner in which we have been treated with no explanation is just so disturbing. I would like some answers please ? Out of catchment after 10 years doesn’t explain your extreme actions?

Review titled Correction review for previous ‘Asked to leave practice , unjustly so!’
by Ms S.A - Posted on 05 November 2024
I rarely post reviews unless I feel it is truly warranted.Myself and my daughter have been reg at this practice for 10 years now. I have tolerated their rude and unprofessional receptionist staff (not all but some), as I know of stories from others that experience the same issues and I know of some worse cases so didn't bother to change GP's on this basis. I rarely use the services unless I absolutely need to.We are not the people to exhaust the NHS and feel fortunate to have it (whilst we still do!) I have reached out on a few occasions for administrative purposes and for a referral for daughter last month again only because I had to. I have been struggling physically and mentally because of ongoing health issues finally found the courage to seek assistance. Eventually some referrals were successful and after some struggles I managed to obtain eye drops and pain relief required. Again I to stress in the last 5 years I have only reached o t GP on a handful of occasions and have been struggling privately.. After my last appointment via telephone consultation and a few email exchanges and finally being able to confide in the GP about how my physical struggles have affected my mental health&managed to obtain regular med, weeks later myself and my family were asked to leave the practice.! I find going to the surgery very stressful and it exasperates my anxiety significantly especially having to liaise with some of the reception staff whom ( some / if not the majority ) behave rather unpleasant and unprofessional, on one occasion over a phone call when I asked if my email had been sent to the GP as I know she required a response I was told 'yeah we have all seen your emails' and then laughter in the background like I was in a pub! !. I didn't complain& let it pass for tear of being asked to leave the surgery. We never complained&we all used the services to a minimum. When ones anxiety is unmanageable it can be easier to take a telephone consultation (easier for the GP also) even those are two weeks ahead no complaints on my end) . Anyhow to cut a very long story short- yesterday morning I was advised that I have been removed from the surgery myself and my daughter including my mother who is dumbfounded by their baseless decision - all of us have done nothing to illicit such extreme measures .My mother has complex health issues and has always had a very good relationship with her GP. This news has been beyond difficult for her. We received these staggered emails yesterday for no apparent reason-reasoning was that we were out of catchment! Suddenly after 10 years! We had moved in 2020 and our address was updated, but they accept patients out of catchment and when you are a registered patient for all this time it is bizarre that they have the power to do this. I have sent emails requesting they explain their actions and have left messages for the 'secretaries' and asked to speak with, the practice manager where I was told to email and indeed I did, I simply want to know why after all these years we are being treated in such a manner ? Whilst I believe we live in a cancel culture and we are at the mercy of the government we never complained about anything as I know this can sometimes happen when one is honest & raises a complaint! I would like to know why you have targeted us and taken such action after all these years ? I have done my own research and indeed you accept patients from outside the catchment furthermore we are 0.8 miles the response was again bizarre and has no grounds to pick and choose in such a way, my elderly mother relies on the service as she has very complex health needs whom is already is going through a turbulent time health wise again she only requests her meds& has occasionally appts. This experience and the manner in which we have been treated with no explanation is just so disturbing. I would like some answers please ? Out of catchment after 10 years doesn't explain your extreme actions? This a correction review of the previous one submitted with further details that I had missed - also this site requests we refrain from using names so I have removed these also.
