  1. Review titled Awful experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Gaz - Posted on 11 June 2024

I was booked in this morning for an ultrasound at 08:15hrs at Hainault Health Centre. As part of the appointment I was asked to drink 800ml of water 45 minutes before the appointment and not to empty my bladder before the appointment. After waiting until 08:25 I had to empty my bladder as I was told they was running late. At 08:37hrs one of the two ladies came to collect me, I informed her that I had to empty my bladder and to take the gentleman who was waiting for an 08:30 appointment first. At 08:55 I was collected and taken to the ultrasound room, surprisingly there was two people in this room with one of the women appearing to be doing nothing at all. Whilst having the ultrasound, the women who appeared to have no reason to be there spent the majority of the time on a personal phone call. This was during myself having the ultrasound with my t-shirt lifted up and my jeans rolled down. It was very unprofessional and inappropriate that she was even present in the room during the ultrasound considering she did nothing and even more so considering her behaviour. So I essence, I was made to wait with a full bladder whilst the person carrying out the ultra was late into work, delayed further because I had to empty and refill my bladder due to them being late. Another person was needless present in the room whilst I had my chest, abdomen and upper groin exposed and then was on a personal phone call during the ultrasound taking place.

  2. Review titled Substandard care by scanning unit

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 July 2024

Scan services provided by Healthshare who is independent provider paid by NHS and our taxes is awful. Staff working there in scanning department, from the assistant who is in urgent need of training in communication, checking patients details, providing dignity and privacy, infection control to a sonographer who is on the phone texting when patient comes in, not explaining procedure, not paying attention while scanning, checking nails on the other hand while the probe is being rolled out and moving over the patient. This service needs urgent improvement. Scan report provided was not detailed, no all measurements done, measurements of certain areas mentioned are half of what it was few years ago. Report mentioned probe was cleaned with Tristel duo but there was no evidence of that for infection control that I have observed. Patients are not provided with tissues to clean themselves. I did not feel comfortable as nobody checked my details or my dob, assisistant and sonographer need to go back to basic retraining in patient care and how to provide safe service. I am deeply disappointed that our taxes are used to pay for private providers to provide such care within NHS. And the worst of all report sent to my GP as my GP will relay on this report and diagnosis . This was wrong from so many aspects. I am therefore paying myself to have a scan repeated by radiologist as I felt nobody took a second to actually pay attention to what they were doing. I would not recommend this scanning service and would hate to think that any of my family members or other patients would and up in such a place with potentially wrong diagnosis or incomplete and sub standard care as nobody is bothered to even greet you let alone pay attention to you while you are lying exposed on that couch at their mercy.

  3. Review titled The numbers don’t work

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Jamila - Posted on 03 April 2024

Been trying to rebook my appointment for two days straight by calling the number that was sent to me to rebook but it never works. Says on the text that the clinic is open 8:30am to 5:30pm, I called at 5pm and the clinic was shut. I’ve made at least 20 calls in the last 2 days. What is going on? What number works for this clinic? And why do they provide a number to call that is not active? What is the clinic actual working hours? Stuff like this needs to be updated.

Rated 1 star out of 5

i went to this clinic to get tested for irregular menses. we did an ultrasound. not only did they make you wait for so long when there were barely any people attending the practice. Its been over a month now and they still have not provided my GP with any results from the test. They said it would take a week for results to be sent over but its been over a month and i am still waiting.

  5. Review titled Blood test area lethargic

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 August 2023

The receptionist on first floor was texting then shortly after I rustled my blood sheet she looked up, I said is this the blood test area? (my first time at clinic) she just said name? No hello or greeting. I gave my name and she said take a seat. Wouldn’t have cost her a friendly greeting especially as I’m a smiley receptive person. The lady doing the blood test was nice enough who apparently only covers 2/3 times a year when short of staff, but she was also lethargic like she’d been up all night! Radiated no energy at all. I’m glad it’s not my local clinic. Some people going there will already be ill and need a bit of a lift, not an unnecessary dreary service. It’s not like they were working from a bomb shelter or something! Buck up! It’s a job whether u like it or not.

  6. Review titled Extremely poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 March 2023

Went for an ultrasound scan. Immediately after the scan, the sonographer advised I really needed to see my GP and my results would be with my GP in two days time. He added the scan showed I had several lumps. This sounded urgent, which was very alarming and I left feeling anxious and upset. It is now 8 days later, my GP has still not received my results and I have been left worrying, I hope needlessly. To add, my GP did this referral in December and I've had to wait nearly 3 months for a scan for suspicious lumps, which may be cancer, extremely poor service.

  7. Review titled Pathetic service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 February 2023

I went for blood test today (28/02/2023) and had appointment at 14:10. I got there at 14:08 and told the receptionist my name and was told to take a seat. After half an hour I spoke to the receptionist again. And she had not marked that I was there. The woman who was doing blood tests was also standing there and had already sent me a text message to say I missed my appointment. When I told her who I am then she took my blood sample for test and apologised for the mistake. The receptionist was busy talking on her phone all the time (did not seem like work related) and did not even apologise for her mistake. It wasted my half an hour out of my working day and annoyed me. This is the first time I visited Hainault Medical centre and will probably be the last. Very disappointed with the service. I just regret not taking her name but I’m sure it’s on the system
