  1. Review titled No good experience

Rated 2 stars out of 5

My honest review is that after three sessions I felt worst instead of feeling better. Don't understand your method of understanding my situation. You make me fill test, sending things through email but your approach is not working for me. I don't even know what to do next. I thought it might help me. Nothing wrong about NHS I receive good care but your psicologal methodology don't work.

  2. Review titled Worryingly Awful...

Rated 1 star out of 5

The initial assessment call I received was conducted quite well and in a timely fashion. One month later I was given a date for an appointment with a trainee therapist, which I declined. I am a trained counsellor myself so felt that I needed someone more experienced. I was told I would have to wait longer for someone more experienced, I said I did not mind waiting and was put on another list. I eventually got an appointment 2 months later. The woman who rang me for my first session was clearly very distracted. It sounded to me that she was in her car driving and then parked her car while I was speaking. It also sounded like she was eating food throughout the call. In addition this lady had a very thick accent which coupled with the other background sounds made it very challenging for me to hear and/or understand her. The woman (I cannot bring myself to refer to her as a therapist) was incredibly unhelpful. She just kept repeating what is the matter? what is the issue? How did you feel? I had already told her my friend had committed suicide and that this had made me consider my own mental health and had led to me acknowledging that I, myself had been feeling unwell. The woman then repeatedly asked me a number of fatuous questions. She then went quiet for a significant time and I had to ask her if she was still on the line, she responded sharply saying "I have to write down what you are saying!" The woman made me feel like I was a call she had to 'just get through' and 'tick off her to do list'. I chose to end the call after 12 minutes as I knew that speaking to her is not only an utter waste of my time, but also incredibly exasperating. She was clearly inexperienced and ineffectual in delivering support to people struggling with their mental health. This was the first (and probably the last) 'talking therapy session' I will ever have. If this is the level of service people with very poor mental health in Haringey receive, I am genuinely terrified for the wellbeing of people in the borough. This level of service was a absolute disgrace.

A very inefficient service with less than accommodating workers. I highly recommend not referring yourself here. Terrible place to be honest with you, not happy with anything from here........

  4. Review titled Worse than useless

Rated 1 star out of 5

After a month of waiting, I got an appointment for an initial consultation. They called me, were silent, then hung up. No attempt to call me back, ignored my email. I ended up feeling worse than if I hadn't bothered. What a way for a mental health service to treat its patients!
