  1. Review titled Lost blood sample

Rated 1 star out of 5

Blood sample taken for coeliac disease. Prior to the test, gluten has to be eaten for 4 weeks. Blood test is then taken. This centre, lost the blood sample. It took 6 weeks chasing for them inform me of this. I now have to start from the beginning, eat gluten for 4 weeks before a blood sample can be taken. Will not be going here again. The negative impact of having to start again when trying to get a diagnosis is considerable.

  3. Review titled Poor communication about appointments

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Emma - Posted on 06 November 2022

I had to attend the venous ulcer clinic with a non healing ulcer 18 months ago. The clinical care I recieved was excellent, but the appointments were made by the treating nurse with no reception staff. There was no written confirmation of appointments. I had an annual follow up appointment booked for early Nov 2022, I rang on the morning to try to save a wasted trip, but the person was unable to confirm or refute whether I actually had an appoinment. I turned up and after waiting 30 minutes the nurse came out and only then was I able to find out that they didn't have an appointment for me. If they cannot employ clerical staff to manage appointments then they really must get decent computer systems to automate the process, otherwise everyone's time is wasted.
