My appointed physio on each visit was unsure of the protocols sent to her from my surgeon rather worrying she mentioned this at all! I had the dreaded cold or flu thing which lasted forever 3-4 weeks! I called in to ask if I should cancel my appointment, and we rescheduled, the morning of that appointment I had a phone call saying that my physio was unavailable for my appointment! again we rescheduled, but sadly on that day I had a machine breakdown! and needed to repair it so work could carry on! took much longer to repair than first thought I missed my appointment! totally my fault! I rang up and apologised the next morning and rescheduled this was my first ever NHS missed appointment several hours later I had a phone call from the physio department saying that the physio told her to call me and cancel the rescheduled appointment, as I'd missed several appointments!! I replied I'd sadly missed 1 appointment due to not wanting to spread my cold/flu! my time had also been wasted by the physio cancelling on the day of the rescheduled appointment! I had missed only 1 and never rang 48 hours before! She was quite arrogant! her knowledge seemed quite limited as to what to do! just measurements and a couple of exercises were done, the surgeon had explained to me what I should be doing and we did very little of what was discussed and I was seeing my surgeon twice during my physio treatments! and he was surprised that the Hereford physio had contacted him not understanding what he'd wanted done.
