Review titled Disappointed and hurt
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Martin Farrant - Posted on 14 February 2024
This is the first time unfortunately I feel that I to complain. I went to the physio at Highfield and was very pleased with the service received and then another appointment was made for me which unfortunately I found out 4 days in advance i.e. today that I could not attend so I know how important it is to let people know if you can't make it so that's what I did but I felt I got quizzed so much about why I couldn't attend and then a lecture about it cost £160 per appointment when people let them down and even though I said I was visiting somebody in the hospital at Northampton general after the operation the lady in question said well that's only a stone throw away you could come here as well well I just wanted to keep the day clear and I have been good enough to let you know that 4 days in advance that I could not make it that's all that should be required so unfortunately I asked a lady to take me off the books and I will no longer be going back. I also have injections once a month in the eye hospital for diabetes and I never let that appointment slip as I would never let any appointment sit without letting you know but I thought 4 days will be adequate time to not be accused of costing you nature £160. The lady said if it happens another two times I will be charged £160 but it hasn't happened the first time in my opinion because I let you you know that I wouldn't be able to make it. By the way I feel the frontline staff on the frontline are absolutely fantastic.

Review titled Professional helpful Physiotherapy, with on-site parking.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by D W MARSHALL - Posted on 17 May 2023
I was pleasantly surprised how good this department is, with modern and clean waiting and treatment room's, it's more like a private practice than NHS. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed from the moment you enter the reception. The expert Physiotherapist explained my diagnosis in laymen's language, and gave clear instructions on the exercises I am required to do in order to strengthen the muscles. Excellent all round facilities which NGH should be very proud of.

Review titled not efficient not care orientated
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I had an appointment in early November ( supposedly through my GP, through actually he just gave me the Highfield number ). The physio said come back to me in 4 -6 weeks if it doesn't improve. I phoned today and was misdirected through a phone system that was in itself a test of how long you could hold the line. Only to be told that I needed to back to my GP because I had been signed off by their service. This is a putting off service not a NHS caring service.
