The best experience for a nervous patient today at John Hunter. Receptionist super friendly and welcoming. Had an appt and was expecting to wait given experience at other clinics and everything was all on time. Friendly health advisor and really reassuring given my needle phobia! The whole experience was great. Thanks all.

I visited the John hunter clinic recently, and I was genuinely impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the thorough care provided. The staff were understanding, non-judgmental, and took the time to address all my concerns. The clinic's commitment to confidentiality and comprehensive testing made me feel comfortable and well-supported throughout the entire process. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a respectful and professional sexual health service.

Review titled Unprofessional receptionist
Rated 1 star out of 5

Was a few minutes away from arriving in the clinic when the receptionist called to check if I was coming in which I confirmed. Arrived at the clinic to sign in downstairs then sat down upstairs at 5:36 for a 5:40 appointment. Waited until 6:23 then got up to ask the receptionist that was sitting behind the desk the whole time “what was going on” she then said to me “oh you didn’t check in with me therefore you have missed your appointment. I explained that I have sitting in front of her for around 30 minutes. She then went to speak to the doctors and then came back and said I have to wait till 7 now as I didn’t check in with her. Waiting till 7 then asked her again what was going on then she said I will have to wait another 40 minutes until the clinic was over to be seen in which I was extremely annoyed and frustrated as I had left work early missing a meeting to be present for my appointment and waited for nearly 2 hours and not seen so I said I’m not waiting any longer and leaving in which the receptionist replied ok ok then

Dear Writer, Firstly may I apologise for the delay in acknowledging or responding to this feedback; we pride ourselves on being responsive to patients and certainly needed to do better when receiving your feedback. We also pride ourselves on being unfailingly kind, and it truly saddens me to read of your experience with the appointment delays and lack of communication from staff during your visit. I hope this issue has now been addressed and you have received another appointment; however if this is not the case, please do not hesitate to contact the PALS team who can look into this for you urgently: Chelsea and Westminster Hospital - chelwest.cwpals@nhs.net or 0203 315 6727 West Middlesex Hospital - chelwest.wmpals@nhs.net or 0208 321 6261 I would also like the opportunity to talk with you about how we could have done better in this instance and for any future patients. If you are open to this, please contact me on chelwest.patientexperience@nhs.net Best Wishes Matt Robinson
