Review titled Call lines are horrendous.
Rated 1 star out of 5

I have an ongoing issue and need support from this service and it is beyond impossible to get an appointment. I get told I need a phone appointment even though they and I know I must come in for this matter, so a phone call is wasted when I get told on the phone to come in anyway. I must sit on the phone for at least 2 hours to get through. This is awful for people like me who have a 9-5 job when the lines open at 9. I have to take time out of my job to ring. If that isn’t bad enough I am then told on any day apart from Monday to ‘ring back please on Monday as there are no more appointments’. The service is shocking no wonder people leave conditions untreated as when we try and help ourselves we are told we can’t even be seen more than half the time. This needs to be solved. This issue is shocking how it is carrying on.

• Our switchboard team triage all calls to ensure they are offered an appropriate appointment that is required with high risk/symptomatic patients given an appointment with 48hours. • We continue to offer a range of appointments (some that can be booked on the day to 6 weeks in advance) and Queue & Wait clinics. Also 50% of all our appointments are available to book online. • When appointments are full, service users are triaged and offered the next available appointment dependent on need and severity. • We continue to offer as many appointments as possible in the locations within the capacity of the service. • We have at least 3 staff on the phones at peak times.
