Review titled Rude and Careless service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 August 2024
I visited this GP for an upset stomach and a few other concerns, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The doctor simply told me it was viral and offered no suggestions for pain management or relief. When I brought up my second issue, I was told I needed to book another appointment as only one problem could be addressed at a time. This isn’t the first time I’ve felt let down by the care here. On a previous visit for an eye-related issue, I felt that the concern was not taken seriously or given proper attention. Overall, the lack of thoroughness and care is concerning

Review titled Terrible practice best avoided
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Gary Waddington - Posted on 02 January 2024
I attempted to make an appointment today, non-urgent, only to be met with the standard waffle about having to call in at 8am. When I pointed out that national guidance had changed last year to improve patient access I was first told they don't follow the guidance, and then a load of back pedalling to try and justify what I had been told. Almost every time I have had to interact with this practice I have encountered incompetence and I'm sick and tired of it. This has been the final nail in the coffin for my tolerance for dealing with the NHS. I have requested that the practice cancel my registration with them, I don't care if that leaves me with a GP, and it has left me so disillusioned with the NHS in general I have also cancelled a hospital referral I have been waiting on. Well done Long Barn Lane Surgery, rather than care for your patients in this case you have pretty much guaranteed an early death for this patient, and given the choice between that and dealing with local NHS services early death is the preferable option.
