Review titled Awful
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 June 2024
My medication was increased and a week later I was suffering so badly to the point I could barely get out of bed and struggled to dress, feed myself and drink. I phoned numerous times over several days to get advice as side effects were getting progressively worse. No one could help me. After many times of attempting to get some sort of advise, I was told to stop taking all anti-psychotics cold turkey. I then suffered terrible withdrawal side effects from not taking any medication. It was a very scary experience! Then a couple of days later a pharmacist at Albion place phoned and told me I should never have come off medication cold turkey like I was told to. I should have gradually withdrew meds under close supervision. There is no trust anymore. And I don’t feel like they care. They do the opposite of what they are supposed to do - they seem to function to create mental health problems.

Rang with my son in a crisis over a week ago was told he would be contacted within 72hrs. That’s not happened! This service appears to be sadly lacking in its service to the public
