  1. Review titled Avoid at all costs !!!!

I’m 22 and have been dealing with ADHD, when I first moved to the uk, they stopped my meds for 3 months to ‘reevaluate’ me because my diagnosis was made in the Isle of Man. Then they said they would change my meds because the ones I was on weren’t working, it’s now 2/3 months later still no medication. These people with hold giving you the medication you need! I have been to an appointment on my worst days telling them how I honestly felt and they turned me away because they weren’t ready to give me my new medication that they’ve been saying they would give me for months! If you value your mental health stay clear! You’ll be let down, told lies left right and centre and still end up with nothing!

  2. Review titled Complete waste of time- and they couldn’t care less.

I’m a mid-40’s male, with a history of anxiety and depression. According to this service that means I can’t be autistic, and my anxiety and depression can’t be caused by autism-although of course this is really common! I sent in a number of asd questionnaires (Cat-Q, At-10, Aspie etc.) where I scored really, really highly, indicating a likely asd-on every single one. Apparently that’s just my anxiety and depression. Apparently one would expect someone with anxiety and depression to score highly on asd tests? Well, actually that’s nonsense! Add questionnaires ask about asd, but this service’s triage panel I’m stunned by the audacity here, given they couldn’t be bothered to meet me for an assessment based on me scoring so highly on these clinical tools. But of course apparently the triage panel knows better than the people who designed and tested these clinical tools. Perhaps they should contact them and make them aware that their tests only test for anxiety and depression and not asd, or that the asd test only works if you don’t have anxiety or depression?? It’s an absolute joke, and clearly designed to reduce waiting lists by bouncing people immediately. In a rather patronising letter to my gp, it was explained that I could always refer myself to mental health services-wow! Amazingly helpful insight-not! I’m left without help, without hope, and needing to find the money to get a private assessment because this service is utterly unfit for purpose! Not only that, but they could not give two hoots how this my impact the mental health they blame for my social issues, you know, the ones they can assess without ever having met me! Beware this service, and if you want help for an adult diagnosis, go private.

I cannot stress enough how much you need to stay away from this place and exercise your NHS right to choose and go anywhere else as you cannot exercise your right to chose after already going through assessment I won’t bore you with all the details of what happened but please trust me in staying away from this place.
