Called 111, had call back and then appointment. I waited for two hours but the staff were amazing. Kind, compassionate and working under incredible pressure.

  2. Review titled Can't fault the service

I called 111 on 16th with a suspected blood clot in my leg & got an appointment at Sheppey for 4.30pm. Was then referred to Medocc at 9pm the same night. Was seen on time, bloods taken & tests run plus a referral for a scan the following morning. Attended on 17th had scan & got a report by 1.15pm to go back to Medocc to see the Dr again. Had another consultation and received a prescription & treatment plan plus a report written for my GP. Very grateful to the 5 different people I saw...diagnosis & treatment for a blood clot in under 20hrs!!

My partner called 111 after devoloping a pilonidal abcess which ruptured after waiting 24hrs for a call back advised to attend medway medocc at 6pm upon arrival we were told we didn't have an appointment and would have to wait 4 more hours this with an open wound and in an extremely painful location to sit and wait for 4 hours triage didn't even look at the wound we have already been told this would require surgery but that was not listened to just told to wait and see not acceptable to leave someone with an soon wound leading blood and puss into there underwear in a packed waiting room

On arrival waiting time 1 - 2hrs that was ok. Then went to 4hrs. Asked when I would be seen and was told 6 in front of you 18 people later asked again when will I be seen again told 5 - 6 people In front of you ( Not happy at this time). Anyway 6 hrs later was seen only to be fobbed off with sickness tablets and i went up with hiccups. So yes what a joke the place is

  5. Review titled Could not be worse

Rated 1 star out of 5

Called 111 for my little girl, after calls back and forth was told they booked me an appoinment at children's a&e. when we arrived was told we didn't actually have an appointment, as it is a walk in service. Fair enough I thought. After an hour waiting in there, a triage nurse asked us the same questions as the 111 operators had already asked 4 times already, then was told to go to medocc where we would be seen shortly. but no that was too good to be true, after waiting for 4 hours and 8 hours since the 111 call, we are still waiting, tried approaching the reception staff to see how long it may be, they have no idea how long it will be, neither does anybody else for that fact. The staff start getting defensive for no reason and get rude and patronising. waiting in the kids waiting area now around 4 hours still no acknowledgement we are even there. several patients left in anger without treatment. This is not acceptable by any standards. my child now hungry and tired but I can't go anywhere in case we get called, and what the worst is I do not feel comfortable approaching the reception staff anymore as I do not want them embarrassing me in front of other patients in front of my kid. absolutely disgraceful.

  6. Review titled Felt like an inconvience.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 August 2022

Was told to go to A&E by my mother's GP today with an issue my mum was experiencing. Was then transferred to the MedOCC dept. Reception staff were lovely and I didn't mind the wait to be seen (about an hour tops). However the triage staff and then the GP we saw were very patronizing and unhelpful. Firstly the stench of ammonia in the shoebox room where we were first seen was awful and neither the two triage staff seem to have noticed (smelled like a much overdue for a change cat litter box!) It was gross. Then got seen by a GP that seem more concerned about Googling my mother's anti-biotics, to know how it should be properly pronounced, than dealing with the issue at hand. I had to put my foot down just to get her the bladder scan that my GP said she would most definitely need. He also spoke to me about how her 'Dementia' could be causing the issues as if she wasn't in the room sitting right next to me!! I honestly have never felt so patronized and an inconvenience. I am truly aghast at the state of our NHS these days.

  7. Review titled Poor MedOCC EXPERIENCE

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Rang 111 at 0830 about my 2 yr old son who is suffering with an infection! 111 informed MedOCC of this and we waited for a call from a doctor. The doctor finally rang at 2130! Asked to wake the child and used the phrase “well I can’t help you then”, in a derogatory tone, when we explained we were reluctant to do this as we had finally got him off to sleep. Lack of awareness, timeliness, and a decent attitude mean that this whole experience was very poor and frankly unacceptable.
