Being in long term care and never had a bad meeting, I remember my first day in 1986 and my journey has been long with tireless care 24 hrs a day, success is good and I feel the day I walked in as a boy and now a man has been worth it, thank you NHS for everything, nice one mate, the half of my life will be free .

Review titled Dissatisfied
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have been under the care of one of the psychiatrists. I feel I've been over looked and not heard. I was the referred to Goodmayes Hospital without clear direction and clarification. I was not given the full details of the process of referral and once I was with Goodmayes hospital, I was again over looked and forgotten, three times. Missed appointments, lack of communication and considering patients are vulnerable, that is rather unacceptable. Not happy with the service at all.

I had an appointment with psychiatrist in September 2023. On the same day of my appointment I received a message that my appointment was cancelled " Due to unforeseen circumstances, your Face to Face Consultation appointment on 5th January 2024 at 10am with Dr now been moved to Friday 2nd February 2024 at 10am. So one week before my appointment I got this message.. Unfortunately, Dr is away on a family emergency we are trying to recruit another Adhd Consultant as Dr was the only one, we have therefore had to cancel your Face to Face consultation on Friday 2nd February 2024 at 10am. A new appointment will be given to you as soon as she returns, or another Doctor is in place. I got a new appointment on 03/ 05/24. This morning 04/04 My appointment has been cancel one more time “Unfortunately, Dr has had to leave the Adhd Team here at Mellmead House due to personal circumstances. We have therefore had to cancel your Face to Face consultation on 3rd May 2024 at 10am. Since the first cancellation I started have anxiety. All the time when I think that my next appointment can be cancelled again my hand start sweating I get very stress.. It is very frustrating

Review titled Dismal experience
Rated 2 stars out of 5

After several cancellations with 4-6 month wait time each time, I have had 2 face-to-face sessions over three years where I should have had around 7. Every request to be referred to a service has been ignored and they throw diagnoses and treatments at me without a second thought or any follow up or progress checks. It would take two or three small changes to make such a difference here! A reminder/ scheduling software and a ten minute phone call +/ email follow up every 6-10 weeks would change everyone’s experience and flag worrisome patients. Phone lines often jammed- do not be fooled by “you are number 2 in the queue” there’s a 20-25 min wait per call, even though they try to get you off the ringer in a minute flat. Been on hold for 2 hours for the second time this week only to be told they’d get someone to follow up. Which no one does. Such a disappointment that unwell people have to use this service which is difficult to navigate and harder still to get any wellness support from it.

When visiting Mullmead House e11. The response from 1 of the receptionist was laughing. We felt intimated. She did not inform the person that we had appointment with afer asking us. We had to phone him on his mobile to let him know we arrived. Whilst the peculiar receptionist continued laughing.
