    I tried to book an appointment over the phone today as usual and was told that government recommends the appointments to be done online and the surgery does not take request to book appointments over the phone. If the booking process confusing me I wonder how the older generation from me is going to manage it. Most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. It is more and more difficult to get appointment. I think the strategy is to discourage people to use GPs service more and more. I wonder if that is going to spike the number of A&D appointments. I am convinced it will. At least the surgery could have taken some effort and inform the existing group of patients about new system and explain it properly. Not when you desperately need to see the doctor you are told you have to do and this and we cannot book you over the phone. You do not call the surgery bcs you just do, you do call the surgery when you need to, when you not well. And when you not well you just do not have strength to learn that you have to go on line and do this and that. What if you the system on line do not work for you, what are you going to do. Honestly it is a pure discouragement to use the surgery. So far it was not easy to get the appointment however you could somehow get the appointment. Now it is getting worse. And NHS will pay the price for people using A&D not their GPS. Patient (50 year old). Unfortunat

    I am 32 weeks pregnant and I made a call to surgery and told them how sick i was feeling and need to have some bloods done on urgent basis as asked by my midwife. The receptionist took complete history and said there are no appointments but she will pass on this information to the doctor on duty and somebody will be in touch with you over the phone. 5 days has passed since then and I have got no response from my surgery,no text,no vm not even notes of any kind on the gp app. I have now booked blood test directly from the hospital.
