Review titled Awful experience
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Allissyah - Posted on 05 June 2024
Came in with partner who is suffering with severe abdominal pain , and referred by 111 was told we’d be “top of the list”. Currently been here 2.5 hours. Gone to ask and it’s based on severity - e.g breathing problems yet a women with a tiny cut on her hand was seen before us. Wouldn’t be here unless severe but showing cancer like symptoms but apparently not serious enough

Review titled Great Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Very efficient staff, polite, professional and friendly. My visit was no longer than 90 minutes. Was apprehensive beforehand about wait times but as my issue was a wound I was seen and sorted extremely quickly. Thank you NHS staff!

Staff were excellent, efficient and very clear in all conversations. I was referred by 111 and was told that urgent care would be notified I was to attend, this didn’t happen. The toilets were in a dreadful state and not usable ( very unhygienic) there should be 24hr staff to maintain all areas where patients who are already unwell share space.

Came here 30.04.2024 9:10 pm...was registered very rudely at reception asking me if I want to be here? Else what us thr option for me? Nothing right? Very rude, no sympathy towards patients. Can't see someone I'm pain!! Even waited in queue to speak when one of the staff member doing 'non work related ' on computer!! More than 5 hrs of wait is ridiculous. No answer when asked to reception

Review titled Long wait, ridiculous system
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 April 2024
My daughter had severe vomiting, so 111 advised to take her to the Urgent care centre. I was advised we had been booked in, and they were expecting us. Arrived at 20.30, due to the lack of staff , it took 10 min wait to check in. Many people came well after us, and was called in, and treated. No triage call, nothing. Freezing cold waiting area. We waited 4 hours, still not been called, and when I asked the receptionist the simple answer was that 'Everyone has been"! I was told that still there were people before us, so we decided to leave. I am going to spent the whole night caring for my sick girl. What is the point paying tax when we can get the treatment when it is needed?

Review titled Shocked
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Lauren - Posted on 15 April 2024
I attended the surgery at around 10am with my 2year old son who was poorly, we was instructed the attend after calling 111. The wait till was clearly stated as 4hours. I started to notice people who arrived after us being seen before us & leaving. I was getting very frustrated by this, I attended the desk & was ignored by a member of staff - she was very rude to other patients. I was promised the dr would be made aware we were waiting but still people continued to be seen before us. I had to ask for a second time what was happening. Finally my son was seen after 2pm by the Dr who I couldn't fault, he was brilliant, explained everything in detail to me & was very thorough with the checks. Very disappointed with the wait time - for a poorly child but very pleased with the care received from the Dr.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent experience of visiting our service. We do endeavour to make waiting times as short for our patients as we are able and in doing so try whenever possible to prioritise children where we can. We are, however, a service that accepts patients from different sources and of all ages, the 111 service, other healthcare professionals and patients that walk in as well as accommodating different clinics within our building. These patients all have varying degrees of need; some will need our GPs to go to their homes whilst some will need to be seen ahead of patients that have been waiting due to their clinical need. This does, unfortunately, mean that children will sometimes have to wait longer than we would like. We are sorry that, on this occasion, your waiting time with your child was longer than we would have hoped for, we welcome all comments so that we can continue to strive to improve the service we deliver. Kind regards MKUCS

Review titled Worst ever
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Bystander - Posted on 21 March 2024
I have a problem with headache, swollen hand and feet, also pain in my joint for all my limb. I came to urgent care to get treated, waiting from 18.20 to 22.51 still no one see me. They clearly saying 4 hours waiting. I’ve been here more than 4 hour with no luck. I am in pain badly instead get treated I have to wait that long. If I know this, I will choose to stay home at least I can get rest rather than torture myself waiting in uncomfortable chair, with swollen hand feet, painful joint and nightmare headache. What’s the point having emergency and urgent care when you are not treated when you need it the most. What type of illness that finally you get to see the doctor. Last year my husband got injured in his mouth, clearly cut and bleeding badly, he still need to wait for 3,5 hour to get stitches. This the worst experience.

Review titled Poor care, lack of empathy and rudeness
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Amy - Posted on 22 March 2024
Arrived here with my daughter who was unwell, headaches, temperature, light disturbances, achey legs. They took her observations and it would have triggered on her early warning chart. Got told she would be triaged. Fast forward her sat there crying in pain, me going up saying what is going on and was told she will be next. 2 and a half hours of me going up there to finally get her some pain relief with a temperature of 38.4. Rude receptionist said did I request pain relief? Now baring in mind The observations triggered when she walked in and she had paracetamol over 2 hours prior so had this have been escalated she wouldn’t of sat there crying in pain and been made to feel comfortable like the notice said in the waiting room should happen. We shouldn’t have to beg and make a fuss to be treated with care and compassion and have basic needs met. Best off going to A&E than here, as least your triaged quick and no way would the staff there leave someone with a temperature of 38.4 for over 2 hours with no pain relief. Never been so disappointed
