I went to Bodmin miu today and was treated by a lovely lady who was a shining light, a lovely happy lady who was wonderful. Also treated by a male nurse who was also lovely. Staff like these make the nhs a wonderful place

  2. Review titled Very Caring Team at Bodmin MIU

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Chris Parry - Posted on 11 May 2024

I had a cycle injury yesterday to my groin and had the most considerate and sympathetic care from both the reception when I arrived and from the two nurses I saw. Thank you all for taking such good care of me.

  3. Review titled Rude and inexperienced staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Abi wood - Posted on 18 May 2024

I attended the unit today with a swollen foot with bruising and pain when walking and moving foot in certain positions. The nurse I saw completely dismissed my injury stating it was a carpet burn when it very clearly is a sprain. I do not have carpet or haven't been anywhere with carpet that could have caused the injury but the nurse was adument this was the cause. I've left there with no support which will cause further long lasting injury with my only hope being a GP that doesn't usually deal with thwse injuries. She was rude and dismissive and completely unsympathetic

  5. Review titled Well cared for

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dawn - Posted on 16 May 2024

I went with my husband who had a tick bite which needed further attention. He was triaged quickly and with care by a very caring nurse. The nurse who treated my husband was very also caring and professional and set him at ease. The treatment she gave was very thorough and she explained everything she was doing. NHS at its best. Thank you.

  6. Review titled Bodmin Minor Injury Unit - Thank you

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My husband and I have sadly had a few occasions over the last couple of years to visit the Bodmin Minor injuries dept . How lucky are we to have this amazing facility within a 15 min drive from our home . From the moment we entered this lovely fresh clean building we were treated with respect compassion and courtesy . The treatment from triage to the nursing care was top class . We were kept totally informed as to what was happening and if an onward trip to Treliske was necessary this was organised for us also. A big shout out for this great place and massive thanks to the fabulous staff. Just wish it was a little easier to park at times, that's my only tiny negative. Sincerely Liz Stuart Wadebridge resident.

  7. Review titled Wonderful Care - Bodmin Minor Injury Unit

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Katie - Posted on 01 May 2024

Thank you all so very much for your wonderful care 6 weeks ago yesterday (13th March) after I'd tripped and fallen onto my face. The lady in reception, the nurse who is also a part time vet nurse and the MIU Paramedic practitioner were brilliant, and I cant thank you all enough. I am now completely mended, thank you, and back walking my beloved Shelties while taking extra care with kerbs! Again thank you all so much with love and warmest wishes.

  8. Review titled I am really impressed with this service

    by hawktz63 - Posted on 11 December 2023

Visited today with my son for a rugby injury. I am really impressed with this service and will not be going anywhere else in future. From the reception to triage to X-ray and finally seeing the practitioner, the service was outstanding. What an amazing facility - NHS at its very best.

  9. Review titled No real help!

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Tony Reynolds - Posted on 31 December 2023

Went because I had fallen down steps and landed on my knee 3 weeks previously. It was not getting better. They x rayed it and sent my home. A week later it was worst so I went back. Nurse was brutal and just sent me home to take paracetamol. 10 weeks on still not better. Minor injuries waste of time.

  10. Review titled Minor injury drop in

    by saturnmg99 - Posted on 14 August 2023

Reception and waiting time was swift. Unfortunately I found the nurse that saw me to be obnoxious, rude and had absolutely no interest in looking at my injury. It was a waste of my time going and I was made to feel I was completely wasting the nurses time. I ended up leaving/being ushered away after less than 2 minutes, to then try and Google how serious my injury is myself and whether I should be worried. This nurses duty of care seemed extremely poor and I would hate anyone from my family to ever have to see them. I’d heard good things about the minor injuries drop in service, so perhaps this was just one poor experience.
