Review titled Won't see people
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 September 2023
This is no the first time I've called to ask if I can be seen. I had checked the website prior to calling to check that it says they will see you for what you need help with and yet again It does! But no, they say they can't see me. The previous time a few months ago, they tell me "you could try A&E" - is this why Shrewsbury ED is always so busy? ....because welshpool just send people off up there so they don't have to help?! Either see the people that your website says you will help with, or update your website! Disgraceful

Review titled Horrible experience
Rated 1 star out of 5

Felt completely ignored in minor injuries, looked at like my partners injury wasn’t relevant! The staff were more absorbed in singing happy birthday and drinking cups of tea to attend to other patients, a lady came in clearly in pain with her hip and was ignored then told to sit down and wait, no name taken or anything…felt insignificant. Later we were asked to leave the minor injuries room and go find a seat somewhere else at the front of the building (which was having building work so no seats) even though there was 3 available seats, we just clearly weren’t relevant enough to them.

Review titled Fobbed off
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Aaron Pengelly - Posted on 07 June 2023
After taking my son, 5 years old into Bodmin miu with a head injury and waiting for nearly 3.5 hours after being seen by triage. My wife was firstly told to hurry up when carrying my son back into the miu treatment area before being told that the injury to his head was only a graze. No cleaning of the wound was carried out and because it was only a graze not to return if it was to bleed again. Upon returning to our house, they arrived with my son having a continuous stream of blood coming from the wound at the back of his head. Any clear investigation would of shown that it wasn't just a graze, more of a puncture wound from where he has banged his head. I then took him back to the hospital myself demanding my son to be seen again as I was not satisfied with the level of treatment and care my son had received. This is a 5 year old child, with spd and asburges who in my opinion was just fobbed off because the department was busy. I appreciate how busy the NHS is in general and that they are understaffed however that doesn't excuse poor care especially to a child with a head injury. I for one will be looking to attend other miu hospitals if I ever need any treatment in the future!

Review titled We were rushed out
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 December 2022
Child went to minor injuries with suspected broken nose at 3:30. At 5pm we were rushed out, only looking up one nostril. No xray. No ent referral. 2 days later we went to a&e and were told we should have had ent referral. We now have ent referral. Won't be going back to minor injuries again. Extremely difficult process as child is a non verbal asc kid, so waiting is Extremely hard. Horsham minor injuries.
