    We went to Nems after calling 111 because our baby was ill. We had an appointment at 11:30pm on the 10th of December. There was a lovely lady at the reception who told us to wait. Then there was a shift change. Everything went south when this new lady started her shift at 12:00am. An elderly man walked in. Without letting him say a word, she told him to sit and wait there, then forgot about him. After waiting for 45 minutes, he approached her, and she asked if he had an appointment. He replied no, explaining that he was told to come here. She said he needed an appointment, to which he responded, "You are telling me this after making me wait for 45 minutes." Meanwhile, my wife and I were waiting for one and a half hours, and it was our baby’s feeding time. She kindly asked the same lady for some water to mix the formula. The lady said she was busy, would check once she was free, and told her she should have come prepared. After waiting for 20 minutes, I went to her again to see if she had checked. She said, "I am going to check now," very rudely, rolling her eyes. I sat back down, and she returned with another lady, sat back at the reception area, and started talking and laughing about their personal lives. I waited another 15 minutes while our baby was crying, and they could see us struggling. I went back to check, and she said, "Yeah, I checked. We can’t give you water because of health and safety." I asked why she didn’t tell me that when she returned after checking, and she replied, "That’s not my job." I was shocked by her attitude. The Nhs is going down not because of a lack of staff, but because of bad staff. Two staff members were ignoring patients and kids while discussing their personal issues. Then we saw the doctor, who was good. They really need to keep competent staff at the front because people are already stressed when going to emergency doctors. People like her don't make it easy.

    Referred by 111. All staff from male receptionist, triage nurse, doctor and blood test nurse were pleasant, sympatheitc, efficent and highly professional. My deep thanks to them for the way I was dealt with, top class, excellent.

    Thanks to the 111 callback service I got seen by a Dr. at NEMS. A week later I got rid of my issue.

    Telephoned 111 at 7am with uti and chest infection symptoms, appointment offered at 8am the same morning, friendly face on reception and excellent care from the Nurse Specialist who was very professional and helpful, thank you NHS.

    We had an appointment on Christmas Eve at 4.30pm and I was expecting a long wait but we were seen straight away. The staff were absolutely lovely and we were out within half an hour. Amazing service

    The staff on duty were very welcoming. The doctor was very informative and was quick to refer me to the surgical team at the Qmc. A huge thank you to all. Kind regards Trevor
