As my previous visit to have my first eye operation, the whole experience from the reception to the final 'goodbye' was handled by all staff to put me at ease. The people I met were very professional but still had time to answer any concerns, The process was explained at all stages and the operation was quick and pain free. I would recommend the clinic to anyone who needed this procedure.

On Tuesday I was referred by my optometrist to Newmedica because of posterior capsule opacification in my right eye following cataract surgery just over four years ago. On Friday late morning I received a phone call from Newmedica offering me an appointment for Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy on the following Friday, and I said I could come this afternoon, if a slot was available. To my surprise, I was given a 3.15pm appointment that very day, and was emailed all the required information. Including drinking a coffee, putting drops in my eye and the YAG laser procedure, the whole event took less than 45 minutes. Less than four days from diagnosis to operation is virtually unprecedented! Everything was handled in an exemplary fashion, and all the staff I saw were very friendly and helpful. To say that I was very impressed would be an understatement. The most complicated matter I encountered was determining how the coffee machine worked!

Fron the start of the process at the first examination to the final operation the staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and reassuring. At all time the staff were introduced by name and all of the procedures explained clearly. Just received follow-up call and was given hint in eye drop procedure. Overall a very positive experience.

Very efficient and friendly staff throughout. From my first contact I was given detailed information. I contacted my optician who referred me quickly and within three days someone from Newmedica telephoned me. I was able to make a very quick appointment for a YAG Capsulotomy to both eyes. I received full details of the procedure through the post and a confirmation phone call to see if I had any further questions. I attended on the given date , was seen immediately and the procedure had been completed within 45mins. Apart from the initial eye drops it was totally painless. The difference to my vision is remarkable and I cannot describe the joy I felt in waking the following morning and seeing better than I have done for months. Clear vision with brilliant colours and definition. I feel totally confident to drive without experiencing the awful glare that was bothering me day and night previously. That you so much to everyone involved.

From the reception to final 'goodbye' I was treated with curtesy and a professional attitude by all. Everything was explained clearly I was given every opportunity to ask questions about the tests and procedures.

My mum has just had one of her cataracts done and the staff were outstanding. They kept me included (with her permission!) throughout and were very supportive of my Mum, taking time to explain everything to her as well as giving her written information (which was especially useful as she couldn’t remember anything!). The clinic was spotlessly clean and the organisation very smooth. The staff went the extra mile including calling a taxi for her. Can’t recommend more highly.
