I recently had my second cataract surgery at Newmedica , Nottingham. From the minute you set foot into the building you feel at ease. From the reception staff to the nursing staff and the surgery team you are treated in a very caring manner with great respect. My surgeon was absolutely first class with me. I can’t thank you all enough , you have given me a new lease of life. I recommend anyone who needs this treatment to go to Newmedica

My cataract operation was handled with efficency, care and very professsionally. All the team at Newmedica were friendly, helpful and focused on my care. This is personalised care at its best. This model of care just works and I would highly recommend Newmedica!

Went for appointment 12/12/24 lovely clean place friendly staff nothing was too much trouble was seen very quickly then returned 13/12/24 for procedure same again excellent service by the staff was well looked after even what aftercare we had too do highly recommend

I had my first cataract op at the age of 74 within five weeks of my visit to the optician where the need was identified. I was told that I would be given a choice of private sector specialists acting for the NHS and that happened very quickly indeed - just as well that I took immediate local advice on a Facebook group - Newmedica Nottingham was highly recommended in a competitive field - because within less than a fortnight I was being assessed. It's a slick operation involving a range of associate specialists. Very properly, they insisted on a 'go-ahead' report from my consultant haematologist (I am a CLL patient), otherwise I reckon the five weeks would have been four or less. The only complaint would be communications which are not integrated with NHS admin, in itself poor in many ways. Newmedica use telephone and Royal Mail but, for some reason, not e-mail. This needs to be reviewed as I hadn't received confirmation of initial appointment and a pre-visit pack before the date of the visit! However I tested out the after care service by ringing the emergency contact number for reassurance sixteen days after the op. I was dealt with appropriately and had a short session with a consultant who examined the eye and declared that all was well.

I was referred to Newmedica Nottingham by my optician who said excellent things about this clinic, which were 100% true. The process was very efficient and I had an initial assessment within a week with the operation a few days later. I was given a booklet which provided enough detail for me to understand what the procedure would be. From the initial contact by phone to my dealings with the people in the clinic I was treated very professionally and with lots of respect and care. After my cataract operation I was contacted the next day to check everything was OK. I was advised that I could use the emergency number at any time if needed. I felt that everyone who dealt with me put me at the centre of their role and treated me as a real person rather than a number. I have now been discharged for one eye as I had both of my eyes done. The clinic is in a modern building which is comfortable and run efficiently staffed by people who are there to help. It’s an impressive set up and I highly recommend them. They’re all amazing! In addition to everything else, the staff upstairs are super friendly and welcoming. My special thanks to the doctor who did both of my eyes and got my vision back with her magical hands. Thank you, God Bess You All!

i went on the 26th of nov 24,the staff were really nice,they kept you informed of every thing that was going to happen,they were all nice ,happy,and smiling all the time,would defo recommend them to any one

Both my wife and I were referred with Cataracts for lens replacement and, subsequently, my wife had surgery to correct in-turned eye lashes, and I have had YAG laser treatment to improve my vision. From start to finish the service from all the staff was amazing and totally defused our fears. They were so friendly, yet totally professional throughout.

I was referred by my optician via my GP to this clinic. The process was very efficient and I had an initial assessment in less than three weeks with the operation a few days later. I was sent a pamphlet of information which provided enough detail for me to understand what the procedure would be and I was able to refer to it during my recovery. From the initial contact by phone to my dealings with the people in the clinic I was treated as an individual informed of what was about to happen and encouraged to ask any questions or voice concerns. After my cataract operation I was contacted the next day to check everything was ok. I was advised that I could use the emergency number at any time if I had any concerns. A couple of days later I did use it and received a call back within minutes and my concern dealt with. I felt that everyone who dealt with me put me at the centre of their role and treated me as a person rather than another case or target to achieve. I have now been discharged from treatment but know I can contact them should I need to in the future. The clinic is in a modern building which is comfortable and run efficiently staffed by people who are there to help. Its an impressive set up and I highly recommend them.

From the greeting at reception, through the opthalmic testing procedure, to the second appointment only four days later for my operation, the ambience and treatment was first class. I could not be more pleased with the treatment - am very happy that the NHS sent me here for my cataract operation. Why are all companies not as good as this, I ask myself.
