I was very impressed by the clean and bright NewMedica clinic and the very warm welcome, including a good cup of coffee, when I went for my assessment on 20th October, 2023. The staff were friendly and efficient, tests were completed and the Consultant discussed the procedure and lens options with me. I had chosen, before the other eye was operated on, in 2022, to remain near-sighted and we settled on the same -2, though I could have had a slightly stronger lens had I wished. A week later and I was welcomed back, looked after very well before the surgery and afterwards and a week post-operatively am delighted to have clear vision and no more yellow cast on everything any more. NewMedica very promptly sent the report of my surgery to my opticians, Specsavers, and the 4-week check-up and re-test with the latter is now booked. I have been advised by the Consultant that my eyes are 'very youthful' as evinced by a little film having grown in the eye which had surgery last year and would be very happy to return to NewMedica for the laser procedure, if it becomes necessary. Excellent practice and care and very happy to give this review.

I was referred by my optician to Newmedica. Three days later i got a call and made my appointment. I went on monday 9th October. Had all the tests on my eyes and met my consultant who explained clearly what condition my cataracts are in and what the operation involves. He then took me to reception to book my operation, which is booked for 31st October. All the staff are very caring and professional and make you feel at ease. From being referred by the optician to having my first eye done will be one month which is a remarkable service. I am looking forward to getting it done so that I can get my normal life back.
