From the start to the end of the treatment the whole staff made me feel relaxed and confident. Much better than going to the dentist!!!! The only minor problem was the forwarding letter I recieved on Thursday explaining the treatment I had. I found it so confusing that I have decided that because I only live round corne from the clinic after the Easter break I will call in to have it explained to me.

I recently had complex cataract surgery at New Medica, Grimsby. All the staff I encountered were professional, helpful and reassuring. Many thanks to my surgeon, nursing staff and the reception team for my excellent treatment.

All the staff were exceptionally helpful and kind as I was a little nervous, would like to say names of the staff but don’t think it’s allowed but they were lovely.

Everyone at Newmedica Grimsby were all friendly, efficient and reassuring, and made me feel more at ease, I was very scared as I have a phobia of having my eyes touched and was dreading seeing implements coming towards my eyes. The cataract operation was surprisingly painless and sightless, and was all over in about 10 minutes. The care and expertise I received was second to none. All in all a first class service in very professional surroundings. I would definitely highly recommend this clinic to all. Thank you Newmedica for my care and attention. I will definitely return to have surgery on my other eye.

I underwent cataract removal on the right eye 1/2/24. Unfortunately I found the whole situation left me feeling traumatised. The video's show everything up to the actual procedure. Then the surgeon pushes down on your eye until the lens cracks, I can still feel the pressure and soreness of my eye, one month later. When finished I could not breathe and was very frightened. The next day I could not speak, unable to get words out correctly. The other thing was the fact that the eye drops made everything taste awful. Now 1 month later and the thought still fills me with anxiety

Very clean and tidy All the staff were very experience and very friendly and made you feel at ease Surgeon was top class and did a good job of my cataract really pleased with it know i have vision in my eye 100% improvement Highly recommended.

The overall experience was positive. The only criticism I would have is the welcome for my elderly father prior to operation. I need to stress compassion, patience, explanation and welcoming a relative to accompany the patient until the moment they go into theatre. I didn’t feel welcome at times and my father was very anxious and gets mixed up at times. He wanted me with him. So important for him. I appreciate staff are busy but this needs addressing.
