Review titled False eye testing

I arrived in plenty of time for my appointment but called though to start the examination 35 minutes late without apology. The person conducting the initial test seemed to lack knowledge in what they were doing resulting in a false and incorrect field of view test. Whilst this person went to check the prescription of my glasses two other staff members entered the room and started to discuss something between them again without apology or explanation. I have now been in my appointment time for 50 minutes and had to explain that the person driving me home had to return to there work, due to the length on my wait I had to cancel the rest of my examination, after all the field of view test would have had to be redone. I have already had one appointment cancelled by Newmedica and now have to wait for another month for the new appointment. Overall this gave me little confidence in the staffs costumer service and interaction with its customers let along having knowledge of the tests and machines to give accurate test results. Sadly disappointing service. In booking my new appointment the member of staff second guessed my name after seeing me only 10 to 15 minutes earlier, I said that it wasn’t my name, they then rolled there eyes with disrespect. This was also witnessed by the person who had brought me to the clinic.

I was very worried about my first visit, but I was immediately put at ease, staff are very polite and caring, very clean environment. Everything was explained to me.

My experience at this clinic was great. During the surgery I never felt any pain and felt at ease, so well done to all the staff and a big thank you.

I attended the Bury St Edmunds clinic; I visited their web page so as to leave a review, but now find I am transported to the review page of the Ipswich clinic. Why? Someone needs to resolve this incompetent glitch, please. My appointment at Bury was for 0920 on Weds, 11th September. Not unreasonably, Newmedica contacted me on the 9th, to ensure I was coming, which I confirmed. I arrived at the clinic around 0910, to find it crammed with people, so that there were not even enough seats for all to sit down. Although I was not advised of it when I first checked in, I rapidly ascertained that the clinic was running an hour late. Commonsense (based on how full the waiting room was) told me that the one hour delay forecast was almost certain to be a highly optimistic guess. On that basis, I left the clinic - but only after making clear that I had kept the appointment, and that from my perspective, Newmedica had broken it. As Newmedica could be bothered to check that I was coming when calling me on the 9th, why could they not have called me on the 11th, giving me the option of coming and having a super long wait - or not coming, and rescheduling? We wasted a two hour journey, and two people were inconvenienced (as my wife had to be in attendance with me so as to drive me home). The excuse given for the delay (some vague reference to the traffic conditions earlier in the morning) was highly unconvincing. I will insist on avoiding early morning appointments in future, so that I can call Newmedica before setting off, so as to check that the clinic is properly operational.

I had the cataract in my left eye removed this month. Everyone at the clinic are extremely professional and look after your every need, making sure all your concerns are sorted. They are all very friendly and make you feel at ease. I would definitely recommend anyone to go to this clinic as they are so lovely and helpful.

I had my appointment today I have bad anxiety and everyone was so understanding and made me feel comfortable. They explained the process of having my lump removed by my eye it was quick and I hardly felt a thing thank you so much

I would like to thank everyone at Newmedica Ipswich from the surgeon who performed two procedures on my eyes to all the staff I saw. I was quite nervous initially, but everyone I met at your clinic explained what and why they were doing things, and I immediately started feeling relaxed. The surgical team worked so well together. Thank you so much for giving me replacement lenses in my eyes ! Finally, everyone I met had such a nice personal manner. Humans...at their best. Thank you.

I attended my first cataract removal, the nursing staff and surgeon were outstanding. I was very nervous, they reassured me throughout the whole process and I would recommend the practice to anyone who needed to have this procedure.
