Although I have a total phobia of anything to do with eyes, I couldn't have been in better hands. I was cared for by a fantastic team of people from start to finish. The cataract removal was pain free and was over very quickly, I am only two days post op and can already appreciate the benefits of cataract removal. If anyone is like me and quite nervous, I can assure you that you will be in the best place possible. The whole team work together so well, and put you at ease from walking in the door to walking out.

After my second cataract operation on 5th April I would 100% recommend this caring and compassionate team for their relaxed but thoroughly professional, excellent, standard of care. A first class experience of fully integrated care from a friendly, informative and knowledgeable team. My extreme gratitude to my wonderful surgeon who gave me my eyesight back. The Staff welcome & introduction to the procedure is the best I have ever experienced. This was on the preoperative visit, then on the operation day, everything was explained in every detail from the beginning to the end, & the care taken with you is the best that you could wish for.

As a critical retired Registered Nurse I thought I knew what to expect from cataract surgery. Newmedica at Ormesby achieve a perfection strived for in health care. From referral by my optician to post op discharge the entire procedure at Newmedica was faultless and supportive. There is an obvious desire for every member of staff to meet expectations and beyond. High end pre op testing and Consultant input, delivers information in a measured, calm, environment. Communication between both Consultant/patient is clear and unhurried. The painless calm surgery itself exudes confidence in the excellence of the entire experience. But don't forget the skill which delivers the results. I am astounded with the clarity of vision the Consultant surgeon has delivered to me following treatment to just one eye. Thank you, it has given me new life. At post op clinic I was offered the opportunity to have my other eye treated within one month! A model of excellence delivering outstanding results, and relieving pressure on NHS lists. What could be better. You bet I booked for the second eye.

At 77 years of age this was my first experience of a medical procedure so I did not know what to expect. All I can say is it was so professional and well organised that no one need worry any more about having cataracts removed. The service offered put me at ease with friendly helpful staff at all stages of my two visits. On both occasions there were follow up calls to ensure there were no problems following my visits. The expertise of the surgeon has improved my eyesight so much more than I imagined possible. So many thanks to the whole team.

As a hypercritical and anxious patient I cannot think of anything NewMedica team could have done better ! Efficient, professional, compassionate, empathic. Caring, at every level .. from Consultant to Theatre staff, HCAs, Reception. This is healthcare as it should be. Thank you so much to all the team at NewMedica, your efforts and work are appreciated beyond words.

Newmedica in Teesside are amazing. I've had cataract removal surgery for both eyes (eye #2 yesterday evening 14 Nov '22) and couldn't have wished for better care. From the reception to post-op, everything is just smoothly run, professional, and friendly. The staff are amazing, helpful, and efficient. They make complicated eye surgery look (and feel) like a breeze. When it comes to something as important as your vision you can only wish for the very best of care and I can vouch that everyone at Newmedica goes above and beyond that to provide the highest quality eyecare standards you can get. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you again for everything.

All staff were welcoming and worked well as a team. Each stage of my visit was very organised and thoroughly explained. The procedure was painless. I left with a standard little Newmedica carrier bag containing my post operative eye drops, a personal Patient Lens Implant Card and other printed reference information to take home which has proved most useful. The following day I was phoned by the Clinic to confirm that there were no matters of concern which was very reassuring. Three days later I could read printed paper again and did not need to rely on back-lit digital screens. I have already recommended this Middlesbrough Clinic to others. Visited June 2022
