  1. Review titled Appalling patient and family member treatment

My husband went to the clinic for a urinary complaint. He asked me to accompany him and be present during his consultation to help him ask questions and provide information to the paramedic dealing with urgent care. The lady helping us had a brusk and rude manner towards me every time I helped my husband providing information. She insisted that my husband had to be tested for STIs despite both of us saying that we have both been checked and that we had not been sexually active outside our relationship with each other. I asked her to clarify why she was insistent on advising an STI test and she reiterated that my husband had mentioned that he suspected having an STI despite him clarifying this was not the case during the consultation. I asked the paramedic if STIs could develop spontaneously and the person was both dismissive, extremely unhelpful and unkind. I am autistic and disclosed this to the medical professional as I requested clearer information on a treatment that did obviously affect me too. We have both left the clinic feeling completely hurt, deflated and now mistrusting each other. I would not recommend this clinic to my worst enemy and I certainly would not recommend it to a friend or a family member. This is just one of the many bad experiences we have had with this practise. I am now willing to research how I can make my feedback matter since I am sure that the surgery will find a way to swipe it under the carpet and do nothing about it.
