They cancelled my therapy overall because i missed one appointment even though my therapist constantly missed my appointments or called half an hour later than he was supposed to. Ridiculous, imagine if i really relied on my talking therapy sessions to get by… disgraceful

  2. Review titled Made me feel so much worse

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 October 2024

I began therapy for my extreme anxiety I was experiencing. Firstly, the waiting time for my first appointment was over 2 months long. When it came to meeting my therapist, she sounded like a robot reading off a script. When i was explaining how I felt, all she ever said was ‘yeah’, ‘mhm’, ‘that’s hard’. I didn’t feel heard or cared for at all. In my second appointment, things got worse, I hadn’t even built a level of trust with her because of how much she sounded like she didnt care. She had the audacity to ask me if she could record our sessions for her university work that she was doing at the time? When I had literally poured out all of my emotions - asking to record the calls was the most i’ve ever heard her speak. If i could say her name here, i would, because she is definitely not an asset to the NHS team, and i wish the absolute best for anyone else who’s stuck with her as their therapist. I did not improve and felt the same from the next couple sessions so I decided to end the treatment. Do not recommend.

  3. Review titled Don’t bother if you have complex trauma

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 December 2022

I manage incredibly well but have PTSD, C-PTSD and OCD as a result of childhood trauma. Was told to “pick a condition” to work on as though they’re not all a result of the same trauma. I have a degree in psychology, I’ve been having therapy on and off for 8 years and none of this was right. Such a dehumanising questionnaire- spoke about being sexually assaulted extensively and the next question was “have you experienced any trauma, e.g sexual assault”, was told I’d be given next steps at the end of the call but then they said they needed a week to call me. Told them I had an abusive officer in charge of my assault case and the next question was “would you call the police if you felt x way”. They don’t treat people like human beings- complex and often having disorders that are a result of experience. Would recommend if u want CBT.
