Review titled It was going really well until...
Rated 1 star out of 5
by CHARLOTTE G - Posted on 16 July 2024
I was recommended to get in touch with TTW following a consultation with my GP, and I was offered therapy over the telephone very quickly. My therapist took her time to listen to all of my comments and concerns surrounding my depression and anxiety, and seemed to really care. Each week we would do our session, I would answer the questionnaire at the beginning of each to see how I felt/how it was affecting my life and each week it seemed to be going down. I was given tasks and techniques to practice to see what worked for me, it was all going nice and smoothly and I looked forward to telling of any hurdles I'd managed to overcome etc. The only negative I feel about my therapist was that they initially said they believed, alongside the depression and anxiety, I probably also have PTSD from a life altering event but said I wasn't going to be put on the waiting list for therapy for that because "the wait is so long". But if I'm thought to have it, I should be straight on the list, no matter the wait?? I failed to attend my session last week due to an immediate family member passing away, therefore I didn't give them the 24 hours notice they request. I didn't receive any messages, no follow ups. I was sent an email giving me 2 days to respond or I'd be discharged back to my GP. I didn't reply, of course having to take care of my family and funeral arrangements etc so have been discharged. They didn't even think to check on me, my scores were so high and yet they didn't follow up, anything could have happened. I've now read my discharge letter sent to the GP and they've said they've tried everything to rearrange or get in touch and they haven't. I know they probably don't have a duty of care towards their clients but I feel totally thrown to the side and like I'm not a human being.

Review titled What a waste of time
Rated 1 star out of 5
by John Hudson - Posted on 07 May 2024
I was told by my son'e GP to make contact with this system to see if I could register for him to enable him to gain some support. The computor led system could not obviously undertstand that I did not want a referal for me, but for someone else i.e. my son. This proved to be a tatla waste of my time and could not deal with my request.

Hi John, thank you for leaving your feedback. We're really sorry to hear you had difficulty with making an online referral for your son. If you'd prefer to make a referral by speaking to a member of our team, please call 0151 649 1859 or email ccc.wirral@everyturn.org and one of our colleages can arrange that for you. We'd also really value hearing more detail about your experience of using our online system (e.g. whether you using the Limbic chatbot or our online self-referral form), so we can make improvements for others who would like to make a referral on behalf of someone else. If you use either of the contact details above, we'd be really glad to hear more feedback from you. Thank you again for leaving your comments.

Review titled Poor practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

Talking together Wirral sent my appointment to the wrong email and then discharged me . When I found out about their incompetence months later they offered treatment but then discharged me as I was late due to trains being cancelled . Really poor service and a lack of empathy and compassion for people who are struggling.

Review titled Long waiting time
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Ivvy - Posted on 29 June 2023
Initial phone call was fine except line was bad & I found it difficult to hear therapist. They had noise going on in background & sound was muffled. Follow up appointments/ counselling is not for 10- 11 weeks! Ridiculous. Had such hopes. Adds to depression. The next questions on this site are not relevant. Why are they here!

Review titled Shockingly dismissive
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Hannah - Posted on 09 April 2023
I am prioritised, I am very pregnant, and the person who did my assessment decided it would be more harmful if I didn't get treatment. I agreed to see a man or woman practitioner. They allocated me a man. He missed the first appointment without warning as he was ill. He missed the second appointment due to technical difficulties, except my phone was working well enough to call their office 20 minutes into the session to ask for a different practitioner. The next man then also, also, cancelled within a couple hours of my appointment. He had an emergency case. How do they know I'm not an emergency? They can't be bothered to show up to the sessions! None of the office staff knew of the no-shows. The counsellors had not informed the office beforehand of not showing up. I called and asked to swap for a woman practitioner and was referred to someone's manager. I explained that changing to a woman was all I had control over, and maybe a new person would be able to attend. The woman on the phone told me of course I could swap, except she explained persistently that perhaps I didn't have issues regarding my rescheduling, and maybe instead I had latent emotional issues with men!? I was stunned. I ended the call and rang back to leave a message the next day. I asked that I see a women when is convenient for them. I've been told they'll get back to me in about 40 weeks.

Review titled Bit of a let down
Rated 3 stars out of 5

It took me a long time to pluck up the courage to try and speak to someone and eventually got an appointment booked for an afternoon. Then on the morning of the appointment - they cancel it for another week! Hope that doesn't too often???

Hello, thank you for your comments. We're sorry to hear that your appointment was cancelled. This can sometimes happen for a number of reasons (e.g. if a member of our team becomes unwell and needs to take sick leave), but it isn't the norm and we always give as much notice as possible. We hope your rearranged appointment was helpful! Thanks again for your comments.
