  2. Review titled Wonderful caring and kind staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kirsty Louise Brown - Posted on 25 February 2023

I went for day operation under GA at Gateway G, the staff from start to finish were lovely, explained everything really well. The theatre staff were incredibly calm and patient. The anesthesiologist made me very comfortable, even though I was anxious at first, he was lovely and put me at ease, even had me laughing. Unfortunately there were complications afterwards and ended up staying overnight. I can't thank the staff enough in recovery. The gentleman who took care of me was amazing and so caring. Then the staff and facilities on the surgical short stay ward was amazing. Can't thank the staff enough. The NHS are amazing!!!

  3. Review titled Received outstanding care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Went to Gateway G for a laparoscopy. Was greeted by a nurse who was lovely and very caring. The theatre staff and consultant was fantastic went through every step with me. Received good care in recovery the consultant came to explain what they found and the procedure in which was carried out to rectify what they had found and also shown me photos which was great. Needed to stay on the short stay unit which the staff was great so caring and considerate to your recovery needs I can not fault any of the care I received it was outstanding.

  4. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gabby Hill - Posted on 18 November 2022

This morning I had a endoscopy procedure at the QMC treatment centre (gateway G). Upon arrival I was greeted by the lovely receptionist. I felt very nervous and found it difficult communicating with her. She was really patient with me and let my dad answer the first set of questions until I felt comfortable/ready to talk. I have mild autism and when I'm feeling anxious, meeting new people or in a place I'm not that sure about I tend to shut down and go into my own little bubble. I really appreciate that the receptionist didn't rush me. I don't know how to describe this but I feel like she treated me in the same way as she would treat a patient without disabilities. For once in my life I felt like a human being and not someone who has just got special needs, thank you for making me feel mattered and not pushing me away to the side. I would also like to thank all of the NHS staff that looked after me today, everyone was amazing. The nonstop care/help you give to people is truly one of a kind.

  6. Review titled Calming and caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Vicki Reeves - Posted on 02 November 2022

I had a myomectomy procedure and from start to finish, at gateway G and then a couple of nights stay at the short stay unit the experience was brilliant. Its a scary time to go through something like that and every person involved was calming and caring and extremely knowledgeable and efficient with their job. Totally blown away yet again at the hero's we have working for our NHS.

  7. Review titled Not listened to

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 November 2022

Visited rheumatology after experiencing swellings. The Dr read off a computer screen, told me what he thought and rushed me out handing me 2 leaflets to read . Never asked how I was feeling, didn’t make me feel like a person and definitely didn’t listen to any of my answers. In the room less than three minutes. Feel upset and confused
