Review titled Awful service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 18 April 2025
Rang 111 due to chronic heartburn baring in mind I’ve had an endoscopy to be told I have gastritis meaning my stomach is inflamed and the medication I’m on isn’t helping but making it worse. A paramedic practitioner called me back from here who was very rude. 2 weeks ago I visited kings mill due to severe belly ache which nothing helped get rid of, the gp didn’t advise with anything due to my pain being gone by the time I got there with dangerously quite a lot of pain relief which I explained to this guy. He then told me I had to call my GP Tuesday morning to which I got upset and asked that I’m gonna have to wait 4 days and his response was ‘well you’ve waited 2 weeks haven’t you without doing anything about it?’ You call your GP first thing and the appointments are gone already within 3 minutes. Can’t speak for all but people like this is a joke and give the NHS a bad name. Our hard earned money goes towards a service like this. People who are supposed to have a duty of care couldn’t care less as long as they’re paid by the end of it. It’s embarrassing

Review titled Great Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

The receptionists and healthcare workers I seen here today were kind and helpful. I was seen quickly upon entering and had a few tests done here before being advised to head over to the QMC A&E to continue my care due to them being unable to perform certain diagnostic tests at this treatment centre. I feel was treated with respect and dignity whilst I was there and all staff showed professionalism and were very thorough. Only downsidse is the small amount of parking spaces avaliable to patients in the car park.

Review titled Efficient emergency treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Owen - Posted on 07 September 2024
We arrived and were checked in and within 12 minutes we were being assessed- triaged by - Within about 45 minutes I was given an X-ray After a longer wait the nurse - called us through - apologised for the delay - explained why - and bandaged the fractured hand with a splint. She was professional efficient sensitive and offered me some painkillers. made me an appointment at the hand fracture clinic at QMC and offered me advice re managing the pain until I was seen by a specialist. The whole procedure took 2 1/2 hours. The UTC was moderately busy - information scrolling on screens gave clear and appropriate information about - the centre - waiting times - numbers being treated - and conditions that could and could not be treated there. Overall we feel that we received good care by professional caring staff - and left feeling well treated

Review titled Rude and lack of empathy
by Anonymous - Posted on 15 May 2024
I was referred to UTC from a private GP, triage was brilliant and super attentive. I waited 7 hours to be seen by a nurse who was shouting people’s names and waving them in from afar. Before I even sat down she said I was fine. The lady didn’t listen to what I had to say about my symptoms, instead she dismissed my experience and the GP I had seen prior to this. I was crying as I was in so much pain, so she decided to put down all my symptoms to depression, without asking how I was feeling or understanding anything I had to say. I told her multiple times that I don’t have depression, I’m just in a lot of pain and I feel incredibly unwell; however she had already made up her mind that it was depression and all of my symptoms were false/I was exaggerating. I felt completely humiliated and as if I was insane. It’s made me never want to go to the doctor or recieve medical attention ever again in fear that I’ll be told it’s all in my head.

Experience in clinic today was horrible. The two nurses one more senior had no empathy and were rude with attitudes. My daughter was in tears. Unprofessional unforgivable treatment.

I arrived at the centre at around 7am, explained what was wrong to the receptionist who was extremely polite and helpful. I sat down and waited less than 5 minutes to be seen. The gp was so helpful and clear. It was a quick efficient service.

The receptionist was personable and helpful. After a very short wait, I was treated for an arm wound following a fall. I was very impressed by the care and treatment I received from the Clinical practitioner. Thank you!

Went around 10 and left 11.30 so really fast …had stupidly lost a cotton wool bud in my ear ..difficult for them to get out but they calmly efficiently got it out of my ear. No judgment on my stupidity …thanks to everyone there

Had to visit as I had some insect bites which had become infected. In and out with prescription in my hand in less than an hour. All staff from receptionists to Dr were pleasant and down to earth.
