    Tried to buy medicine over the counter for shingles -at Boots in Rochdale as I had a rash that looked like shingles or a bad case of eczema? This was due to not being able to get in at my surgery.They got me an appointment at my doctors at Maclure road for the 2/2/2024. I was seen by a female employee, not my doctor and was told she was not convinced it was shingles she gave me an anti-viral ointment instead through prescription.Visited friends in Kent -on the 10/2/24 my rash worsened with pain. I attended the Erith Urgent medical Centre on the 10/2/2024 they diagnose my condition as 'shingles' and prescribed me with the correct medication, they also instructed me to throw away the ointment prescribed by my surgery. I have been in a great deal of pain as I nearly reach my 68th birthday but thanks to Erith Urgent care centre (Erith road Kent) who have made my life more pain free. I am currently looking after a friends home in Kent until the 5/3/2024 until they return back from a holiday.

    Called this morning to request a sick note and told the doctor which I haven’t seen for 5 years is on annual leave so the sick note could not be done. Absolute shocking this practice. The reception staff need training, they think they are doctors! Appointment always getting cancelled on the day of your appointment it’s a joke this practice.

    Was stood at the reception waiting to be seen for over 5 mins. The lady behind me knocked on the window only to be shouted at by the receptionist saying that she “was on the phone and there was no need for me to knock on the window like that”. Not happy at all by the service.

    Phoned today at 9.00am put through to Audiology Dept and recorded message tells me they are busy and I am Number 1 in queue..... 9.07 phone is disconnected whilst waiting and procedure repeated to be informed they are extremely busy and to ring back later....I was Number 1 in queue!!! No wonder appts are missed . Completely opposite service to that I received from Royton NHS Audiology two months before.

    This practice is a laughing stock. The staff very unprofessional. Never get through on the phone. Calling in the morning for 45 mins. Finally someone answered explained my situation and was advised to give a call back same day after 4pm. I called back a 4.10pm only to get no answer after trying the phone for 30mins. I rang again the next day and explained again to why I am ringing only to get told that the msg had not been passed on to the doctor and was advised again to ring back in the morning if I need to speak to a doctor. I have absolutely had enough of this surgery as you never get to see your own doctor. The reception staff ask you your problem..I don’t want to discuss my personal issues with some one who is not a doctor. Very unprofessional.

    Breast screening appointment - 1st one so nervous - poor communication from them - sat in wrong area as per their pour instructions - whilst they are watching me - sat listening to them gossip and eat breakfast, very unprofessional, obviously not enough work for them to do - very poor use of nhs resources
