    We contacted Optima for an assessment for our daughter, hoping to receive clear guidance and upfront information about costs and the diagnostic process. Unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience. Lack of Transparency: We were initially referred by our Spire GP and understood the initial £900 fee would cover the key elements of an the assessment. Only after attending the appointment did we discover that this was just one stage of the process, and multiple further appointments—each just as expensive—would be required. The clinic never made this clear upfront, despite our explicit requests for clarification before we proceeded. Confusing Communication: The clinic acknowledges a “human error” in sending incorrect appointment details, but they have not accepted how this miscommunication affected us. Instead of making things right, they maintain that the error did not delay or alter the process—completely overlooking the stress it caused our family. Impact on Our Child’s Well-Being: Our daughter took time off school based on our understanding that this would be a more definitive assessment. The confusion and lack of transparency have only added to her anxiety and delayed the support she needs. Despite giving them every opportunity to address these issues amicably, the clinic offered no meaningful resolution or compensation. While they may claim to follow established guidelines, their approach to communication and cost disclosure falls short of what any family should endure. I cannot recommend Optima Clinics to other parents seeking a thorough, honest, and compassionate approach to their child’s diagnostic process.
