    I have been attempting to access support over the past 5 years for complex PTSD. I was recommended this route by GP, HV and midwives throughout this time, because it seems to be the only support available for mental health on NHS - everything gets passed to Outlook. I have had a string of awful experiences. My most recent contact, I self referred. I had to fill in detailed questionnaires which obviously caused my PTSD, anxiety and depression to become acute. I was called and told my appointment had been cancelled, but they could reschedule. The call was handled very badly and increased my anxiety further, especially because my PTSD stems from feeling unheard and out of control during the traumatic birth of my son. No one is listening. I finally had my 'assessment' she asked me to give lots of details but ended the call saying she'd not finished the assessment and that I would have to wait 3 weeks to finish the assessment. The assessment was supposed to be completed next week, I had a call today saying it has been cancelled and that the operator didn't know when I'd be able to rebook, just that they would be in touch 'in the future'. I've had half an assessment done. I scored nearly full on my anxiety and depression questionnaires. This is only the first step to be allowed to go onto the waiting list. So I'm not even on the waiting list yet. If I didn't have a supportive family, honestly, this experience would have left me on the edge of making a irrevocable decision. My understanding is that the scheme is contracted out to a company on a quota basis, therefore it's an odds game as to when you're seen.

    Great Service, I really recommend going through these people. The person I had was lovely, really kind and understanding, and very helpful. All the material they sent to me came promptly, and was very good.
