I visited Park Medical Centre to request a repeat prescription. Two weeks went by and it wasn’t delivered as had been arranged, so I called in again today and spoke to the pharmacy and they told me they had not had a request for my medication sent to them. I went to the GP receptionist and explained what had happened and she said she will put a new request in and they should be ready tomorrow. She offered no apology as though it wasn’t a problem. I asked her what had happened to my request for medication 2 weeks ago and on checking the screen she told me the GP wants a follow up with me. No one had bothered to tell me this and she wouldn’t have either if I hadn’t asked the question. This would have meant a third visit there. This is unacceptable. Someone isn’t doing their job properly. I know people are busy but there is no excuse for this.
