  1. Review titled Fantastic staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Laurie Taylor - Posted on 08 January 2024

I just want to say a huge thank you to the nurse that saw me tonight in triage and to the doctor who saw me shortly after. I was very upset when going to triage due to my Dad dying of a brain tumour which triggered some anxiety around the migraines l was having. The nurse was so attentive, she really listened and supported me throughout my appointment. She was fantastic! I only waited 45 minutes to see the doctor who was very thorough and listened to my symptoms. He provided an excellent service and l feel like l was really listened to.

  2. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was seen for triage assessment soon after checking in. I was later seen by a doctor and afterwards, a nurse. I had medication prescribed and sent to my pharmacy. All of this was done within 2hrs of arriving. Each staff member (Receptionist, Nurse and GP) were efficient, professional and pleasant. What an amazing service and how lucky we are to have a free national health service. Thank you.

  3. Review titled Wonderful staff, totally efficient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I just wanted to say an enormous thanks to the staff at the Ponteland Rd centre. I came in yesterday (in the snow) with a fractured wrist. From the lady on reception, the X-ray team through to the lovely man who assessed me, everyone was fabulous, friendly, kind and put me at ease. Despite it being busy I was moved through the system efficiently and didn’t have to wait more than ten mins to see the next person. Thank you all, you’re amazing.

  4. Review titled Rude staff member

Rated 2 stars out of 5

After waiting a long time to be seen, I was in with the nurse for about 20 seconds. I didn’t get to even explain what was wrong properly as the nurse seemed stressed as to how busy it was. I didn’t feel any better or had any reassurance to how I’m feeling and it was all a waste of time. The level of actual care there is appalling. It’s not any individuals fault as to how busy it is on a Monday morning.

  5. Review titled Turned away.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Neil - Posted on 16 June 2023

I went to Ponteland Road Medical Practice with a gaping wound in my leg that had been bleeding for 6 hours at 9.40 pm, to be told that I couldn't be seen as they were closing in 20 minutes and the doctors would be packing away. The waiting room was deserted. Surely I could have been seen to in the 20 minutes that the surgery is allegedly still open?

  6. Review titled Unhelpful waste of time

Rated 1 star out of 5

3 hour wait for a nurse to open my mouth and ask me to say ah and diagnosis it’s likely viral cold and go home and take paracetamol. Absolutely ridiculous that their was no dr or bloods/urine sample can be taken, what a waist of time, maybe on arrival you should be notified that there is no doctor that can see you and then you would not waist 3 hours of your time when your sick. Second opinion pending😳

  7. Review titled Abrasive Nurse

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 April 2023

Arrived at drop in centre, to be greeted by an uninterested receptionist, was asked for details told to wait in waiting area. Then greeted by the most obnoxious nurse who triaged me . I was then told to come back in the morning at 8am as it was too late to do anything. This was at 9.40 pm. Obviously couldn't be bothered, no one else in the centre, attitude was appalling. I wasn't from the area as catching a flight next day. Had to go back in the morning, attitude from staff on the 22nd couldn't of been more different, lovely receptionist, and amazing DR who sorted me within a timely manner. I would just like to say if the Nurse on the 21st of April dislikes her job so much, she maybe should look for a change in career.

  8. Review titled amazing doctor!!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 March 2023

I went to the doctor with symptoms of a kidney infection as I suspected, got seen to fast, the doctor that treated me was extremely professional and kind. he prescribed me a stronger painkiller when I asked if he was able to rather than suggesting just paracetamol, as the pain was really bad. this shows his level of compassion and high level of care. the reception staff were lovely and polite also! highly recommend. you're all a credit to the NHS and your help and time is genuinely appreciated by many. thank you all so much!!
