  1. Review titled Very supportive place but needs some changes.

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 June 2024

The staff here who work with me are lovely and have been nothing but supportive with my care. Even the reception staff are really nice and caring, especially when I’ve been in crisis. I’m currently doing therapy here but due to the layout of the rooms, the corridor and noise, i feel it’s having a negative impact on it. I can’t get to or stay in my ‘safe place’ very easily when I need to as there are doors banging, people talking/laughing very loud in other rooms and on their way into their appointments. A lot of the time, I can easily hear conversations going on in other rooms & it’s very distracting and sometimes scary when I’m not ‘really there’ as it makes me very jumpy, & I end up not being able to focus on what I’m doing. Because of this, I feel like I’ve partly wasted a lot of my sessions. A lot of the time I have to ask my therapist to repeat what she’s said as with all the noise, I sometimes can’t here her or I’ll be talking and get distracted by what’s going on outside the room and just can’t focus on what I’m doing inside it. It feels like I’ve wasted too much therapy time having my therapist have to repeat herself or explain what she means & I don’t think that’s fair. I know nothing can be done to get me that time back or magically make the place feel calm and therapeutic, but if me bringing this up can change things even just a little bit, for someone else in my position, then it’s worth it.

  2. Review titled Bad Service Overall

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Rae - Posted on 13 April 2024

I have had multiple referalls to Prescott House. All referalls have been rejected and not one reason has been given. I contacted them to be straight forward and ask for the reason as I need a diagnosis. They told me they couldnt find a reason for the rejection on record, told me to ask for another referal. If i do ask for one, this will be my fifth or sixth referal in the past two years and i can imagine it will be rejected again.

  3. Review titled Terrible service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have received shocking care from this service. No one answers the phone, workers don't return your calls. The medical team need to involve patients in their own care. During a review I was told that I wasn't answering the questions, I was but sometimes I didn't know the answers. Doctors appointments always make me nervous and being mental health staff they should be aware of that. Instead I was advised I was being obstructive and asked if I wanted to help myself. If I could help myself I wouldn't be there. Sometimes my mind goes blank and I find it hard to think of the answers, but this was seen as I was being difficult. I hated appointments with the psychiatrist and it made me nervous when I knew when my reviews were. I was expected to discuss things that I didn't always understand. I'm not the trained professional here
