Review titled Poor service, uncaring and unprofessional
Rated 1 star out of 5
by David todd - Posted on 22 September 2024
Diabetes been really bad for years… now could potentially lose a foot…. Been asking for an insulin pump every time I’ve been for years and keep rejecting me. I went to latest appt because hospital said I need to control sugars and they said I need to try pump…. Went to a nurse appt only to be asked “ why are you here” and that I need to use “ Google” to read up on pumps. Bearing in mind I wear a sensor which shares data with them about my high sugars! I was made to feel like I was committing a crime by asking for a pump because my insulin treatment hasn’t worked very well since 2006 and diabetes is killing me so I need something different because I’m a single parent with a dependant child! I’m 38 years old and have already had cateracts and heart stents because of this. They don’t care at all at trinity square diabetes clinic. I will be seeking legal advice.

I waited ages to get an appointment to discuss getting a cgm meter only to be told I don't meet the criteria, looking at the NICE guidelines I do! Instead I was offered mounjaro, the appointment was a waste of my time and if I could avoid ever going back I would, the diabetic care in Gateshead is atrocious
