  1. Review titled Poor Service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I had my first diabetic eye screening today and was very disappointed with the impersonal service I received. The receptionist was very professional and welcoming. I have physical and mental health issues and took my husband with me as support,( not just as the driver due to eye drops). The screening was in two parts. Part one testing sight and then administering drops, followed by Part two after waiting period re drops. Both staff operating part 1 and 2 were impersonal, didnt explain what was going to happen and it felt like neither of them wanted to be there. I found them abrupt and unprofessional. Physically in part 2 I was required ( on a static chair) to lean forward to align chin on rest and my forehead touching the frame. This was not explained well and also I kept saying, I am finding this difficult due to my back. I have severe osteoarthritis in my lower spine. The staff member just kept saying the same instruction rather than explain it more and gave me no indication if I was close even though I asked numerous times is this ok? Is this better? I felt such a nusiance to them. My mental health was greatly affected by this brusk and impersonal factory approach and by the time I got into our car I was in great mental distress. My back later on had clearly been affected in the need for me to lean at such an angle that I needed to take extra pain killers. Very disappointed and concerned by the whole episode.
