Review titled Atrocious Service
Rated 1 star out of 5

This surgery seems to think it is ok for an 86 year old to go over six weeks without an hearing aid. That assumes that Specsavers can see her and procure within a week. Otherwise there is a risk she will have to wait until the New Year due to bank holidays. When I took a broken hearing aid to the hospital they advised it was very old and could not be repaired. Their advice was to get the surgery to give a referral to Specsavers who would be able to arrange to visit her. I raised an online admin request on her behalf that was totally ignored (4th Nov). When I called a week later they insisted an appointment was necessary even after I stressed it was a replacement NHS hearing aid. This seems a total waste of an appointment. In the meantime my sister had arranged an appointment (22nd Nov)on another matter and mentioned the requirement of an hearing aid. It was a telephone appointment where she was with my mother to take. The call came when she was in the toilet and a message was left that the doctor would call back. After waiting by the phone for two hours she called the surgery and she was advised he doctor would not be calling back and another appointment was required. When it was stressed that an urgent replacement for an NHS hearing aid was required the surgery was totally uninterested. The next appointment is not until 9th Dec. This has prompted me to give my surgery a five star review. I have been using their online system for over three years now and have always got a same day/next day appointment if required by the circumstances. The first time I used the on line system I had called the surgery for an urgent appointment which was closed for the afternoon due to training. When told I needed to ring next day I asked about the on line system. I immediately submitted a request. Within the hour I received a call asking if I could attend the surgery at lunchtime as the doctor needed to see me urgently. Two working days later I received a call from the hospital and had a colonoscopy three weeks to the day from my doctors appointment My surgery now processes all requirements through the on line system. If you do not have access you can now call any time of day during working hours and your requirement is then put through the triage system. Even after this system was in place I have always had a response within 24 hours (The promise is 48) I am told that Red Roofs is still using the system where the only way to get an urgent appointment is by calling first thing in the morning. If my surgery had received a referral request for an hearing aid I am quite certain it would have been processed within 48 hours. It certainly would not take more than a week and would not have required an appointment.

Review titled Shameful Surgery

ould give 0 stars if I could. Takes over 100 calls just to get in the queue, then you sit waiting in the queue for 30 minutes. Everything moved online to telephone appointments, I booked an appointment at 8:30 and had an email to say a doctor would call me within 2 hours of the appointment time. 3 hours pass and I haven’t heard anything. Rang the surgery, waited 25 minutes in the queue to be told the time is just an estimate and they’ll call any time before 12pm. Receptionist was apologetic but why give an appointment time if they aren’t accurate. Wasted a whole morning waiting for a call back. Tried to ring back at 12:00 for them to be closed for lunch for an hour and a half. Automated message said to press 1 for the emergency line, I didn’t press anything and it automatically put me through. Got put through to a very rude receptionist who said there’s an emergency and I’ll just have to wait. I appreciate emergencies take priority but the lack of communication is abysmal. It’s now 12:45 and still haven’t heard anything. Worst surgery in Nuneaton, absolutely avoid.

Used to be one of the very best but now it might possibly be the worst in Nuneaton. If you're lucky enough to get through to the automated message, you then need to try to get through to the appointment line which i'm yet to do after almost a week of calling every morning. I used to love this GP, all the staff are wonderful and i've always been very well looked after but it's needs a complete overhaul i'm afraid. So many other practices in Nuneaton are far better.
