Called Monday morning and the woman who answered has the quietest voice almost like a whisper I couldn't understand a word! she spoke up for 5 seconds then went back to her quiet voice this stressed me out please get this woman off the phones I can't hear her clearly even with the loudspeaker on my phone it was really annoying and frustrating it's a joke. People who ring your number are already stressed as it is!

Review titled Extremely poor experience
by Anonymous - Posted on 02 April 2024
I was asked to refer myself to this service by my midwife due to family issues and struggling in the initial postpartum period. I had a phone call assessment at 4 weeks postpartum. In advance of this I had completed a questionnaire for depression and one for anxiety. During the call I was advised that according to my answers I was scoring low for both. I explained the reasons for being asked to refer myself by the midwife and that I expected the questionnaires to come back with that, as the help I needed was for a very specific family situation and was more for CBT and coping mechanisms around that. The family situation is something I have accessed counselling for in the past and has had a big impact on my life, something I explained on the phone. I was then advised that due to the questionnaire scores indicating I didn’t currently have anxiety or depression, the service wouldn’t be able to support me. The person did offer to listen to what had happened on this phone call, but that would be it. I found this extremely upsetting and frustrating, something that I expressed on the call. We are asked to reach out to services like this when support is needed, only to be met with no help. I then received a follow up text message, with a link to a paid for counselling service. I feel the service would benefit from a more human approach, where the staff can make an informed decision on a patient rather than a computer effectively making the decision on whether someone needs help or not. I have accessed this service in the past and had a disappointing experience then too. Then it was established I did need support, but that never materialised. I was really hoping for a different experience of the service this time. Overall extremely disappointing and I’m not at all surprised at why people have no faith in the NHS mental health support.

Review titled Waste of time I have given up now
Rated 1 star out of 5

I've been waiting for an appointment since January 25th 2024. I do not blame the staff who are lovely. I met the ladies in Rotherham who were very nice and supportive. I have received a letter stating we have attempted to contact you three times which I believe to be utter nonsense. I have zero missed calls or emails or text messages about any appointments. I have since attempted to contact the service on 03000215108 across the past five days to get an appointment. I have left messages but no reply. " Your call is in a queue and will be answered as soon as possible " beep beep unfornately we cannot take your call at the moment, never answered. It's been five days. I have given up. The service is there to help people, It doesn't it makes you think what's the point. I'll go private if I can afford it as the NHS services is not working. I'll not waste my time in the future. Please note I don't blame the staff at the practice all of you working there. The issue is firmly at the upper management who simply don't care whatsoever and run the service on statistical based management. We are not statistics we are human beings who need to be nice to each other.

Review titled Not confidential or reliable for support
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 February 2024
Accessed support due to a number of issues including grief, stress with relationship and work. I was told they couldn’t support me as it is ‘situational’ they also said they would be contacting a service involved with me to inform them I had accessed support and why. This service is meant to be confidential (unless they feel your a risk to yourself or others) which I was not! Yet they still said they are sharing this information without my consent! And also they are not offering me support for what I’m going through! Yes it might be situational however that doesn’t change the way I am currently feeling - so what support is available for people going through situational depression, anxiety and stress?!

Review titled Fantastic service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have just completed 4 months of therapy through this service and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. I was able to self refer directly to the service through the GP/NHS App which was brilliant as didn't need a GP appointment first. The therapist made me feel at ease instantly and throughout the treatment course has really listened and understood my concerns. I was given excellent advice within my treatment sessions and how to be proactive with my treatment outside of the sessions. I have just been discharged but was reassured of support I can access in the future if needed. I really appreciate all the support I was given and feel I am in a much better place for it.

Do not go through these for mental health Or looking for therapy. Under qualified people you speak to for the assessments. No manners and don’t understand at all. If you need therapy or help try pay for it yourself.
