Review titled Caring and professional
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Dr Paul Kenny - Posted on 29 May 2024
I attended the minor injuries unit last Friday afternoon having sustained an wound to my finger in my home workshop. Despite the unit being busy, I was seen reasonably quickly and was treated with kindness and professional expertise. When my dressing needed replacing a few days later, my GP practice declined to help. The minor injuries unit kindly saw me again and redressed my wound despite the fact that this was really my GP's responsibility. Again I was treated with care and consideration. Although retired, I have a background of over 40 years in healthcare and I felt the treatment provided to me was exemplary. Well done Royal South Hampshire Hospital.

Review titled Terrible don’t go there
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 01 April 2024
After a visit today with my daughter I was absolutely disgusted with how she was spoken to by one of the nurses. We waited 4 hours to be seen I wasn’t allowed to go in with her which was a shame. My daughter said she hadn’t been feeling very well for nearly a week now and the reply was only a week wow. Then my daughter said she didn’t have any energy and the answer was welcome to the club you’re not the only one. I couldn’t believe this it’s disgusting so avoid avoid avoid unless you really have to go

Review titled Utc

Not a good experience. At first I was seen I was told I would have bloods test for my recuring ulcers which was the main purpose for the visit. After waiting 2 hours which was long but I didn’t mind as was getting sorted I was called through to be told that we don’t do blood tests even though the previous staff told me I would have them done. They couldn’t do anything to help and just told me to go GP. Even though 111 sent me to them. Absolutely ridiculous and a waste of my time

Review titled Rude nurse
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Lisa stones - Posted on 04 November 2023
After twisting my ankle the evening before, after phoning 111 I was advised by a doctor to go to royal south Hants in the morning to get an X-ray, i was alone so couldn’t get to the hospital that evening. I arrived about 9.30am. I hobbled into the nurses room, she had an attitude with me instantly. I explained what had happened, she told me as I can walk she wouldn’t X-ray my ankle. I showed her the golf ball size lump on my ankle and asked about it, she said what lump? I pointed at the lump that was plainly visible. She didn’t want to touch it or acknowledge it. There was no offer of what I Should do, as I work on my feet all day. I said I was only there as a 111 doctor told me to get an X-ray. I don’t expect to be spoke to so rudely when I have genuinely need to be there. For her benefit I hope it is just a sprain.

Review titled Covid and Flu Vaccination
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by David - Posted on 08 October 2023
I made a appointment at RSH for my Covid and Flu Vaccination. Upon arrival I was disheartened to see the lengh of the queue. I spent 50 minutes standing up waiting to be jabbed. Given that the demographic of the vaccination the queue was made up of elderly people, I don't think it was acceptable to ask elderly people to queue for that lengh of time

The security team at South Hants work above and beyond to assist those that come to the hospital. They provide the best type of support to the people they are working with and make an incredible effort to remain professional and calm in extreme situations. The team are thoughtful and clearly passionate about their work.

Review titled Great practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went to the walk-in clinic and was treated with such respect and a feeling that I wasn’t wasting their time. They treated my swollen eyelids and red, dry face with care and emotion. I can honestly say that by the time I arrived home my face had improved. Thank you very much for the time you spent with me and for the parting shots. Thank you!
