Review titled Incompetent Mental Health Support

Having left a&e 6 months ago for severe depression and suicidal thoughts, My GP at Rutland Lodge prescribed me a new anti depressant medication (via phone call appointment) and told me to contact them in one months time to discuss how I’m doing and if I’d like to continue with it. I followed their instructions the following month and requested a phone call via the Patches online service but was issued a repeat prescription via the app instead without having any conversation about it at all. 5 months later, I requested another phone call via patches to talk about increasing my dosage but my request was ‘completed’ online and a 10mg increase was prescribed to me just like that, without having any discussion of the matter, again. The lack of communication has made me feel like my mental health and well-being hasn’t been taken seriously - it’s felt isolating. It shouldn’t be this difficult to talk to a GP about depression. I’ve applied for another GP surgery because I’ve lost faith in this one.
