   The 'phone number given is not working and so calls go through to Birmingham. The person there offered an appt in Marple - some way from south Manchester. Scrivens used to work well but in recent times it is increasingly difficult to get an appt for an ongoing difficulty - only offered an appt 6 weeks away. Scrivens are paid by the nhs but they are no longer value for money when patients are not offered an appt within a reasonable time. If there is a problem with hearing or with a hearing aid, it needs to be dealt with within a reasonable time scale.
