  1. Review titled Age discrimination

Rated 2 stars out of 5

My husband came into surgery to make a doctors appointment (it takes at least 30mins by phone) he was then told that he could not make appointment in the surgery and had to do everything on line. My husband does not use technology and shouldn't be expected too. The receptionist who he spoke too was very helpful but he just doesn't get technology. My husband was left feeling stupid (not by receptionist but the system) and still has no appointment for his ailment. My husband has very little confidence in the doctors surgery and unfortunately it has become even less due to the system.

  2. Review titled Contacting Surgery by telephoe

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Jacqueline Halton - Posted on 02 April 2024

I rang my father's GP today to request a home visit. Was given the usual recorded messages advising online service. However, unable to do this as wouldn't accept dads GP address. Therefore telephoned surgery to request home visit. I held on for 1hr 2 mins, listening to music with no clue if I was in a queue. I held on this long because the last time I rang Dad's GP after 30 mins of holding on, my call was answered. Your new system has made it impossible for my vulnerable 90 year old Dad to contact his GP on his own. I am having difficulty as his daughter. I have since discovered your surgery was closed today and reopens tomorrow. Please change your telephone system so that when you are closed you say immediately that your surgery is closed. It is possible. My GP does exactly that. Also, please advise callers what number they are in a queue, as my GP does.

  3. Review titled Poor service

It’s impossible to get through to the surgery or to see a GP and this is putting people off seeking medical attention.I tried for over an hour the other day and then did an online request which took a week to be responded too and another 3 weeks to get a call from the GP and I had no choice in the day or time and was just given it.Seems like it’s all against you and the push is to keep patients away .it’s a dangerous situation as patients are not getting the help they need so face to face appts and patients being able to pick and choose times and in a timely manner is needed
