Postal kits aren't fit for purpose -- spent the best part of an hour trying to get enough blood out of my fingers for the test, and got maybe 10% of the required amount. No in-person appointments available via the website.

I have never been treated with such respect and care as I was treated at this clinic by the doctor that saw me and even the reception staff. I was diagnosed with endometriosis a few years ago and have had such awful experiences throughout my journey. My pain has never been taken seriously and I’ve always been treated as a burden and told to just get on with it even though my condition has completely impacted and changed my life. I recently needed my coil removed and couldn’t get an appointment at my GP and my consultant had cancelled on me twice already to the point my coil was out of date and my pain was worsening. The GP receptionist told me they could only book me in in a months time and that if I’d put up with it being out of date for so long I could put up with waiting another month. In the end I tried the sexual health clinic in Stockton but the nurse failed to remove it so got booked in with the doctor at Middlesbrough and honestly from start to finish she was amazing. So caring and respectful. It was quite hard to remove my coil as the strings had been cut so short and it was out of place causing me great discomfort, but she talked me through exactly what she was doing and took my pain into consideration. Never once dismissed my pain which has happened so many times before. She didn’t rush me at all and made sure the new prescription wouldn’t interact with any of my other medications and talked me through ways to try and manage my pain while I adapt to the new contraception she’d prescribed me. She treated me like a human being and I really can’t thank her enough for that.
