Review titled Great practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 15 May 2024
Despite the wait time of 4 hours, my experience was good. The receptionist, triage nurse and doctor were all friendly and helpful. The doctor did not rush and took time in getting to the bottom of why I was feeling unwell. I was skeptical at first after reading the reviews but I had a great experience. Everyone was very helpful

Review titled Wonderfully sensitive to neurodivergent needs
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Aitch Nicol - Posted on 14 May 2024
I attended the walk in clinic to have a dressing checked after a minor op in Accident & Emergency. I'm autistic + Attention deficity hyperactivity disorder, with huge sensory challenges. A 9hr wait in Accident & Emergency left me extremely distressed & completely burned out. I was very worried that the wait and environment at the walk in centre would have the same effect, that I would need to take time off work to recover. I mentioned this to the triage nurse, who said to let the front desk know. And how fabulous they were - I was treated utterly without judgement (v rare), and taken to a quiet room, where I could wear my headphones and bounce off the walls on my own to my hearts content. What an amazing difference this adaptation made - and the clinician who saw me was also very thoughtful, noting the bright lights and my potential sensitivity to touch. An amazing experience. Highly recommended for people who potentially will be made more ill than they were by the experience of a drop in type care environment.

Review titled Brilliant medical assessment and treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Amy Clarke - Posted on 23 March 2024
The clinician who saw me this morning around 10 am on Saturday 23rd was brilliant. He was very thorough listening to my chest for a long time (unlike the gp practice assessment last Tuesday when only the back of my chest was listened too and for a very short period of time) This clinician was asking lots of assessment questions and gave great advice and really gave me time to he heard and cared for. He did prescribe antibiotics for my chest but also self care medication suggestions. This is the 6 time my family has used this service and each time we have found it brilliant. Yes you have a long wait but i think the public forget people walk off the street any time of day and so what do you expect, we’re so lucky to have this service and the nhs. Be patient people and be grateful. Thank you.

Review titled Appalling service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Sophie Edwards - Posted on 18 March 2024
I felt the whole building could do with a through clean down, top up of paint, clean of the toilets and sorting of them to make sure there's enough. Empty over-filled bins, spillages on the floors, I am appalled at how long I was having to wait yesterday. I rang ahead to the receptionist and she mentioned it was 30 min wait I got there asked how long 3 hour wait from coming in. This needs looking into for patient care. I was going to sit in my car for a while but the receptionist said no as you've got to sit in the waiting area until your called if I have known I could have sat in the car and had a doze. The waiting room was very full for 9am.... 3 hour wait turned to 4.5 hours, everyone else who came in before me was seen by the doctor and then went I also spoke to the security lady who advised me she did spot me when I came in and also noticed how unwell I was. Please also look into much more comfortable seating, that's also not falling to bits. I was eventually seen at 4 hours by the ECP who has prescribed antibiotics which I haven't managed to get due to trying 4 pharmacy's and no stock or low stock. Also entering the room the door banged onto my right arm causing great pain, and on leaving the room the door was opened by the ECP and it banged to onto my arm which is causing me more great pain. At the time of writing there is a gigantic bruise.

Review titled Amazing

Got seen within an hour and a half on a weekend here. The triage staff was amazing and quick and so polite. I was then seen by a gentlemen who was lovely. He said he was a practitioner who and was very professional. When I complimented the service he said he was the new manager of the service and he wanted it to stay like that. He listened to me and looked like he genuinely cared as well as being so polite. He actually took time with me. I even said I wish he could be my own GP!

Review titled Great with my 15 year old
Rated 5 stars out of 5

My 15 year old had a cough getting worse for 2 wks. We waiting 2.5 hrs but expected too as we did t have an apt and it was a Sunday night and the only place open. The female ANP was brilliant such a great manner very compassionate caring and listened, she was very thorough and asked a Dr to support her as my sons chest was quiet on one side. He was given antibiotics and started to improve after 2 days. She also told us what to look out for and where to go to get more help if needed. Really felt important and reassured by how careful the assessment was.

Telephoned 111 who made an appointment for 10.20. What a waste of time this was, 1 hour later and still not being seen, yet people after me were getting seen.

Review titled Very impressive service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Pat Hutchinson - Posted on 10 January 2024
On New Years I went to the clinic for the first time ever ; I had excruciating back pain. I had to wait only about 30 minutes and was seen by a very sympathetic doctor who diagnosed intercostal muscle problems. He examined me and directed me to the chemist at Broomhill where the prescribed painkillers were ready. The whole process was very efficient and I’m so grateful for the care given. Thank you

Given an appointment by out of hours GP. Excellent service by the nurse practitioner, correct diagnosis made and medication prescribed. This was after being misdiagnosed by my own GP 5 days previously and being in extreme pain. Highly recommend this service

Review titled Awful experience
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 October 2023
I waited for 5 hours to be seen for under 5 minutes. The doctor was passive aggressive and telling me off resulting in me leaving the clinic in tears. I was told there was nothing that they could do to help with knee pain, but I was not informed on this during triage, wasting 5 hours sat there in a lot of pain.
