Efficient, knowledgeable, caring, helpful, calm, ordered, reliable. Everything a patient could possibly want or expected. Every member of the team was on their game, I was well looked after. I can’t speak highly enough of them.

Upon entering SpaMedica at Bedford for my assessment for Cataract Surgery I was very impressed with the efficiency that greeted me. The stages of the Assessment were explained, and I felt very confident to go ahead with the Surgery. The day of my Surgery went very smoothly and felt completely in very safe hands with all the staff throughout my time there. I will need another Cataract removed next year and would not hesitate to return to SpaMedica.

I had my second cataract surgery on Thursday 19/12/24. It all went brilliantly, the staff made sure I was aware of what was happening, the surgeon was excellent, I can’t recommend more highly.

Have just been for the laser treatment which was over in seconds! The only thing that hurt were the eye drops. Everything about the place is so well organised From the moment you go in for an assessment or for treatment. Have to have my other eye cataract done soon and am not so nervous as I was for the first one. Well done to everyone there, thank you.

Although I was 45 minutes early I was called almost immediately. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel at ease. Everything was explained carefully and they made sure that I understood.

Fantastic from start to finish. I was made to feel very welcome. The person who carried out my treatment was a star. For anyone who's thinking about having a procedure there, please do it.

First class service with an excellent customer experience. Timing, welcome and the theatre time were nothing short of wonderful. From beginning to end first class. A particular mention to the Dutch surgeon who only works on a Thursday! A real star!

I had Cataract surgery and after they give you a bag of info to take home and read 👀maybe give it before surgery so we can read it- we don’t all live with someone to read it to you . Apart from that great service.

Wonderful attentive, informative and efficient service from all staff It takes a few hours for the whole process, but the actual Theatre op is only approx' 15 mins. Read their information pack, because this clearly describes what happens. Eye 1 Oct 24-Op, Apart from staring into a bright light, the procedure was stressless and painless. 24 hours of slight discomfort followed until the plastic cover was removed and I was able to start the drops regime. Within a day or two vision to the eye was restored, welcoming a new clear and colourful world through that eye. Eye 2 Nov 24-OP, Same experience as eye 1 op, except the actual procedure that was carried out by a different surgeon who seamed not to possess the same softness of touch as the first surgeon and I not only experienced discomfort during the Op', but also I saw instruments coming from the side, which is off putting. In addition the water flushing, leaked down onto my neck and clothing. What followed was a painful eye for a couple of days, but eventually it settled down. So, operation wise, it was slightly two different experiences, but overall very bearable and the outcome certainly out weighed the experience of the second op'. Whilst now having to master carry reading glasses, I have now transcended from a "Sepia" blurry world into a colourful bright new vista and whereby I can read and see the distant world that lies around and ahead of me.
