Excellent throughout appointments at both Bedford and follow-up at Colchester. Problems developed following cataract surgery and a more complex procedure was necessary. Pleased to say successfully carried out.

Procedure date arrived quickly after referral. Upon attendance the environment was clean well equipped and modern with facilities for light refreshments ensuring that you were comfortable and as relaxed as can be despite the upcoming procedure which could be quite daunting . The staff were friendly efficient and approachable warm and courteous and not only prepared you ,but also checked your understanding throughout ,providing good postoperative instructions in written and verbal forms . Since returning for further checks the service remains unchanged as well as contact with each staff member . I would 100% recommend Spa medica Bedford .

Very friendly staff made me feel relaxed and at ease. Very satisfactory results from a pain free procedure. The hospital is very clean and welcoming Couldn’t be more happier with the whole experience from beginning to end

Five stars. From the moment I arrived until l left the service was excellent. Parking was easy and reception simple. The building is modern and easy to navigate with plenty of toilets. The facilities first class (coffee delicious) Moving between departments was good with help from the staff. The staff were excellent and very helpful and appeared to enjoy their jobs. The surgeon who performed my operation was excellent, informing me about each step of the procedure, and what was best was she sang while she worked, though I don't think she will be receiving any singing awards in the near future Thank you to all involved at the Bedford facility.

From initial pre op assessment to the final cataract operation which took place within 4 days I have nothing but the highest praise for all concerned from reception and nursing staff to the surgeon who operated.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was treated with respect and dignity at all times. The painless operation was over in 15 minutes. So now, after 60 years of wearing glasses I can see perfectly without them, except for reading. Thank you all for everything you have done for me.

I received my surgery yesterday,20/03/2024. Yes my Cataract was bad, but I cannot believe how much difference this surgery has made already, less than 24hrs later. All staff were very polite, professional and explained everything clearly. Would love to thank the whole team for their excellent work

My appointment 1.30 pm on Saturday 16/03 and I left at 2.30 pm my left eye cataract removed. No issues. Totally reassuring experience
