Throughout both my visits to this hospital I found all the members of staff to be very careful in how they dealt with my several disabilities. The very professional staff took great care to keep me safe and comfortable. They were also very careful to ensure that I was fully informed of all that was going on in my assessment and treatment. They also accomodated my desire to move myself at the centre. The surgeon was very careful to ensure that each thing done during the operation was fujlly explained before he did anything. At all times I was confident in the staff looking after me and the kindness and courtesy evident in their behaviour. I can only thank all the staff for an incredible experience especially for the way they dealt with my inevitable anxiety. I would also like to comment very positively onboth the website and the booklets given to me during my time at the centre.

I have now had cataracts removed from both of my eyes, at this clinic. I didn’t know what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful whilst remaining professional. I can now see much more clearly and I am looking forward to a brighter future. Thank you Spamedica.

Brilliant staff made me feel very comfortable operation was a good experience won't be so scared at the other eye felt very comfortable with every member of staff I met and the surgeon talked me through what he was doing

I have had cataract surgery on both eyes recently. The process at SpaMedica in Birmingham was very efficient and professional whilst being friendly. Booking appointments was very easy and fast. I was referred by my optician in March and have had the pre-op examination and two surgery appointments over the last 12 weeks.

I had cataract surgery a week ago and my experience here was nothing but good. The surgeon was reassuring and talking to me with each step the nurses were polite especially one nurse who held my hand throughout the procedure. Very pleased thank you for giving me the gift of vision !

I had a complex cataract surgery in one eye back in June this year and my experience was very good I was nervous and I was reassured by staff also I have osteoarthritis and spinal conditions and I was made comfortable. Nurse was lovely and so was the surgeon thank you so much for the gift of clear vision to this team. However I had been called for surgery the other eye this was on 19th of July a completely different experience the nurses were not helpful and the surgeon was not very nice, I felt disappointed as I had a very uncomfortable time. The reception staff were very welcoming and was offered a hot drink as soon as I walked in also as I approached the building I was speaking to a nice man who met us and he also was there after surgery to take me to the car. This surgery was not the same as the first and none of the nurses were helpful to my needs on the table, once surgery was over I was expected to get up myself from a flat table with my spinal condition there was no cushion this time under my knees. When I did say to one if the nurses I have a back issue she said take your time and getting up was a struggle. After I got home I was in pain and suffered with pain for weeks in my left leg and back. I hope this review is listened too.

I wish to say I went to my Optician for my post examination, yesterday. They were amazed at the change to my vision the optician said congratulations on my new eyes. I can not thank you enough all for the wonderful treatment I received Thank you again Brian Colley.

My experience (cataract surgery) of this facility is one of excellence. Every person I have been involved with on my journey has treated me (a very 'nervous' individual) with absolute professionalism alongside a highly caring attitude. Every step of the way has been explained to me and any concerns of mine have been addressed. As such, I am happy to recommend this facility to anybody seeking similar surgery.
