    Would definatly recommend Spa Medica in Bromley. They go the extra mile to explain the procedure ,all staff are very helpful and profesional,as was the surgeon.

    Had both cataracts operated on Nov/Dec 24. Second one more painful, but because of the clamp size being too large. Extremely painful and I nearly requested surgeon to stop. Otherwise it was pretty quick. An observation though, as most patients are of a certain age, the loud, blaring and inappropriate radio station was most unwelcome. I can only assume it’s for the benefit of the staff! Something calming would be much better to calm the nerves, especially the first time. The staff were very pleasant, however they give you instructions to read when it’s nigh on impossible to read after the op.

    I had one eye done in December 24 and the other will be done shortly in January 25. In case anyone has any doubts, in my experience the result of this surgery is fantastic, the vision in my operated eye is crystal clear and became so after just a few days. From referral to operation was just one month. Looking back through 50 recent reviews I noticed one or two minor criticisms of the clinic which I certainly did not experience. The staff were competent, helpful and friendly and I don't think anyone even those of a nervous disposition should worry. My surgeon's cv outlined a lengthy career in ophthalmology and the operation itself was a mere 10 minutes, completely painless, and no injections. From check-in to completion was about 2 hours in my case which I consider to be excellent for what is a multi-stage process involving consultations, sight tests, and waits for drops to take effect. I suggest the benefits far outweigh any inconvenience others may have experienced. Spa Medica sent a comprehensive information pack prior to my initial consultation appointment and in fact all that information and more is also on their web site. From initial consultation to operation was a mere 4 days. I would not hesitate to recommend the Bromley clinic to anyone.

    All staff and the Doctor were very informative, kind and polite. The whole process took about 2 hours with the eye procedure taking only about 10 mins. Everything went well and I have had an excellent recovery.

    Assessment Appointment and Procedure Appointment were both on time, and staff acted professionally throughout both visits Answered all questions and ensured I understood what would happen at each step of this journey - my Cataract Surgery was both painless and successful

    What a wonderful place, highly effecient with such friendly staff, was made very welcome by receptionists who were most helpful with offers of coffee and information plus ringing my contact to take me home and explaining parking etc to him. The nurses and doctors very pleasant and reassuring as I was very nervous and they put me at ease, procedure completely painless and straightforward and had both eyes done within 8 weeks of being referred, would highly recommend Spamedica, the aftercare very good as I rang with a query, all in all a good experience, thank you

    Much quicker this time compared with 1st 14 months ago. Staff cheerful friendly. V quick to phone back next day. Couldnt access iphone internet from reception v inconvenient when trying to call taxi!
